What is your Dethanc's pluses to hit and dam now Kalon? Must be hitting pretty hard at least. Before the character met his unfortunate demise, it was L23, fire brand and (+28,+20). It was thus WEAKER than the Executioner's Sword of Greater Life (+15,+19) (+20%) I lucked out by finding in the Sandwo...

Annoying - a 'thanc and no powers
My experimental Half-Ogre Swordsman, level 32, picked up Dethanc in a vault on level 22 of the Sandworm Lair. After enchanting it to (+10,+10), he then went dragon hunting on top of Angband. After ploughing through a slew of them, he noticed that the dagger, now level 21, had not picked up a SINGLE ...

Kaardoldric ( dump ) I read a forum somewhere commenting that Pure Mages play better than Sorcerors. Having tried my hand at a Dark Elf Sorceror (with some limited success - Lvl50, but unable to tackle Angband) I gave it a shot, and rolled up a Dunédán Mage, worshiping Manwe. I didn't regret that. W...

Finding a speed ring shop in the Old Forest isn't a problem... Just steal a +10 speed ring there, and you are good to go. Yes, you could do that, but when I first started playing, I was too scared of getting banned to try to steal! And those prices - whew! Anyway, the RNG must *LOVE* me - two level...

Amusing: Useless dungeon town
I battled through the Illusory Castle (finding it MUCH easier with a good digger and power of Magic Map) to find this Dungeon Town . I was heartened, until I saw that out of it's eight buildings, it was made up of FOUR Recallers and a General Store! What are YOUR worst disappointments as far as Dung...

It would be impossible. There have to be at least few million ToME-ers in the world... Really? I have been to Slashdot meetups, Everything2 meetups, which are both (relatively) small, disparate groups. Certainly NOT millions. Plus, how far will people travel to discuss ToME and stuff when they can ...

Absolutely, I agree with you. However, maybe there are a just a few in each country/city, and enough interest is generated to get little collectives going. I'll put my hand up for Sydney, Australia. Thus, it also includes nearby cities of Newcastle, Woollongong, Canberra, maybe even Melbourne. If it...

World wide idea: An International ToME Meeting!
Having spent more time playing this game, posting on this board, getting to know the players, as well as dabbling as Quyulthug fodder than I have been working some days, I thought that it might be time to test the waters. How about we as ToME players get together and meet the person at the other end...
