Level 90... though it's the biggest "rounding down" I've ever seen.

(scratches head) Man, I must be doing something wrong. My one and only winner racked up 21 million turns. Admittedly, she was an Alchemist, but even Bjorn (the second one, who died in Dol Guldur) got up above 9 million turns. Am I miscounting or something? The turn number in the high score listing ...

Hoom... it ain't easy to get data like this after so many versions of ToME, but I managed to find an old scores file which kept the scores and turn counts of my first seven wins. Cool. A little research also shows that number of game turns and number of game-time days spent by a character is proport...

I knew, but only because I saw it when I was preparing a Deathwatch map for wiki spoilers section. I was pretty surprised by this too. Used it a few times since then.

Why don't we stay in the current state? It's an interesting quirk to have two titles for the same game. On top of that, if only one title stays then people who like the other one will be unhappy. So my vote goes to: both.

I withheld my opinion until I've read and understood the concept of GNS and I must say it is fascinating indeed. In ToME I'm mostly a gamist, but with a fair share of a symulationist and a narrativist. When I play, I play to win. But I also love exploring the game along the way, while creating a bit...

Tolkein refers at least once to a "Knight of the Mark", which is the same thing. How? There were many orders of knights each with their own name. Can a Knight of the Merk and the Riders of Rohan be directly linked? Well, Rohan is often called "the Mark", so it's rather obvious t...

Meriadoc Brandybuck was a knight of Rohan too

I like to develop new tactics to dispatch Nazgul. My favourite so far was using Melkor's Curse repeatedly. I cursed Witch-King hundreds of times on Dim Gates (he was rendered almost non-moving quite quickly) and then I blasted him with 2d6 Cammithrim's magic missile

Well, on my first thought I voted on Caps, but take one Caps vote out and add one non-caps vote in. Now, my greatest concern is consistency. "a metal Boomerang" was hurting my eyes for about 4 versions, before I remembered to report it. Anyway, now we have things like "an Indestructib...

Hitpoints, hitpoints, hitpoints. Some skill points are good too. But hps are better. As everyone who has read LD's Guide knows. Though devising some new kind of reward, say, innate abilities or intrisics (sp?) would be cool. A quest for sanity regeneration power? Gotta love it!

I never thought about it, but from now on I will always think of *ID* as Iiii-DENT-ify in UT manner - gotta love those announcements sounding in my head : Iii-DENT-ify, Slaaay DE-mon and, in case of genocide mo-mo-mo-MONSTER kill

lol I got my sixth win 20 minutes ago and when I look here I see this. what a coincidence :-) I have beat the the game with variety of characters (mainly because variety is the main reason I love ToME): a warrior - Troll Barbarian Unbeliever 2 loremasters - Thunderlord LostSoul Symbiant and Ent Poss...
