Many classes are far easier in levelling, especially alchemists (scumming Bree edges? :D ). I think the easiest class (not at start but whole game) is alchemist. That's why he is conseidered as "EXPERIMENTAL" :wink: If you really like challenge, you can try a Hobbit Specter Mimic :twisted:

Is that why "PernAngband" has been changed into ToME?

I could say "nothing, coz my oponents will fear my pantless ninja skills" :lol: But if you ever tried wearing any mail or plate armor without a good stuffed leather coat (with foam or feather for exemple) ... you would know it's uncomfortable to move, and you wouldn't event think to fight ...

It's effective, but far less than if I had a sword, in fact, I have a Dark Sord (-5,-4) and I switch with the Scythe when it comes to fight (I hope to find a Dark Sord of Nothingness)
