Re: [b42] OSX version is fubar
I really don't know. Can you delete your local copy and re-copy from the DMG and see if it works now?

Re: [b42] OSX version is fubar
But no! The plot thickens. Looking directly inside DG's b42 dmg the libraries are fine. "Tales of Maj'Eyal" is the actual dmg freshly downloaded from te4.org and mounted on my desktop. $ ls -l /Volumes/Tales\ of\ Maj\'Eyal/T-Engine.app/Contents/Frameworks/ total 7216 -rwxr-xr-x@ 1 jules st...

Re: [b42] OSX version is fubar
Yikes. Thanks.
DG has a script which builds the final executable bundle it looks like it must have truncated some of the important libraries!

[b42] Active effect/sustain tooltips don't update
If you have a sustained talent then it's "effect" tooltip shown to indicate that the sustain is currently 'On' will not update if you gain level / gain stats / alter the bonusses of that talent in some way. However I'm pretty sure those bonusses do take effect (on the ones I could test) it...

Re: [b42] Strange slowdowns - summoning and certain items
Possible explanation - it's something to do with the online profile? I always play offline. Torokasi on IRC says that he sees the slowdowns I mention above only when his computer is offline or the server connection is poor. Could it be checking the summoning unlock (which is unlocked by monster summ...

[b42] Strange slowdowns - summoning and certain items
I get strange slowdowns in a small set of circumstance. These are multiple second slowdowns - at least 1-2, sometimes 4 or 5. Monsters summoning. Not monsters with the Summoner class talents, but the older monsters with the older summoning talents, like honey trees and ghouls. Each time they summon ...

Level change - annoying sequence of dialogs
When you change level you get: the transmogrification screen (if you have the chest unlocked), an escort quest or similar level/change event, and two saving dialogs. This process all takes a bit longer than you'd like (I know, speeding it up may not be hard) but the worst thing is that it jars becau...

Keyboard navigation - compilation
The key which is defined for "configure talent" within the "m" interface is not rebindable, and it defaults to '*'. Unfortunately * is a hotkey (Shift-8) in several popular keyboard layouts (UK/US at least). In the combined eq/inventory dialog there is no simple way (or I can't ...

Re: [b42] Right click on OS X?
Yes, I confirmed with an SDL2 test program - right click is simply broken in SDL2 for the mac.
Lukep's compile fixes it by using the X11 input layer not the Cocoa input layer.
We submitted a bug report to the SDL mailing list but no response yet. We may have to see if we can debug their code.

Re: [b42] OSX version is fubar
This one was my fault: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libSDL2-2.0.0.dylib The first version of the b42 bundle had some incorrect library paths. However this second error: /Applications/T-Engine.app/Contents/MacOS/../Frameworks/libvorbisfile.3.dylib: file too short I don't understand at all. That...

Re: Mac OsX - b41 isn't working
Lukep's compile uses SDL compiled against the X11 libraries. I don't think this is the right way to go - X11 isn't part of OS X, and it's clunky. However it does have the virtue of fixing the right click bug in SDL, presumably because it's a completely separate input layer. If we can't get SDL to fi...

Re: Mac OsX - b41 isn't working
Yes, I failed to bundle some libraries. Sorry about that :-( If you happen to have those libraries installed elsewhere on your system then appropriate variations of the DYLD environment variable trick will fix it (you might find freetype in /usr/X11 if you have that installed). I will fix the build ...

Re: Dwarf Reknor ending too hard without stairscumming
I think there are two related problems here. One is that Norgan can die (!). Stating the obvious, but whilst I agree with the poster who said it's quite possible to keep Norgan alive, it is certainly also possible for Norgan to die. And if he does die, this boss fight is really very hard indeed. Bos...
