Actually there are several items which are also traps. I kinda like these in RPGs, though
It's a deadly roguelike. And yeah, the necklace will eat your head, the light of revelation is likely to kill you by flooding you with horrors etc.

There's a lot of ways to deal with inner demons. Most notably cleanse and fear immunity. Sure, inner demons is scary, but maybe you should've payed attention to what you were fighting and prepared.

I think both the positive and negative effects should be amped heavily. Imagine getting a magical disease from it that just lasts like 50 turns with high damage... if you don't have a cleanse, you're just dead. But if you're prepared, you can risk it.

I played this recently, the nerf is kinda unnecessary, since it goes on cooldown after each use, the cooldown usually remains high and takes a couple turns to tick down. It wouldn't be horribly broken if we did what you suggest and didn't nerf it.

I've heard of these mythical shielding numbers, but haven't ever seen them myself. Sure, if we combine bathe in light with hitting enemies for extra shield, then the shield numbers go up. But by itself, I've never seen Barrier even remotely as high as this.

So currently there are several classes which get locked talent groups unlocked during quests. This is kinda cool, but can lead to some issues when not playing the AoA campaign. Specifically Wyrmic and Summoner are lacking Harmony, Oozemancer is lacking Fungus and Reaver is lacking Hexes and Vile Lif...

The most recent patch changed the yeti tissue rewards to be dependant on the escort rewards.
