I completely uninstalled and reinstalled ToME, did that second thing you said, verified the game whatever through steam and now it's working fine. Thanks for the reply!

As soon as 1.5.0 came out I also bought the Embers of Rage DLC and let it update. Afterwards I removed all workshop content and loaded it up.
