Re: The Necromancer needs a Complete rewrite

Souls as a limit: When souls are consumed to summon something, they are returned when the summon dies. When souls are used to cast a spell, they return x turns later or when the effect that it applies expires. This is a good idea that the game doesn't have right now, and opens up a number of intera...

Re: Is Solipsism/Dismissal rolled before or after Resonance?

The physical hit you took was more than 30. Solipsism reduces damage taken to psi so the actual hit was probably 40-50 and in the range dismissal can miss.

Resonance does roll after dismissal, because it also rolls after feedback gain. I think that's as designed and won't change.

Re: Is Solipsism/Dismissal rolled before or after Resonance?

Dismissal rolls after shields of all varieties, so it does combo well with Antimagic shield. (And armor and resistances.)

It kicks in before damage is split and reduced by solipsism, though.

Re: 1.4.9 Doomed Guide

won a 1.5.5 insane adventure run on which I didn't play very well--and this character had an extra prodigy point and 600k gold dumped on it by DarkGod, so... yeah. Mostly agree with the guide but some things I saw differently. 1. Shadow Senses is pretty useful in conjunction with Shadow's Path and C...

Re: Inwardly Fuming - A Guide to the Possessor Tinker

Excellent guide. Just picked up an insane/roguelike win, my first, with this class, which is insanely overpowered. A couple of notes from my playthrough: 1. Blade and Saw horrors are bonkers because they have 400 and 500% attack speed, respectively. I carried a rare from the Lake of Nur all the way ...

Re: A Pile of Steaming Ooze – a Tinker Oozemancer Guide for

Got a win more or less following this guide here. https://te4.org/characters/215406/tome/e98a9a64-2c1f-4ddc-918a-40e715d2abbe Main differences: 1. took Corrosive Blades and Windtouched Speed because I'd found Spellhunt Remnants, so the sustain destruction Acidfire provides didn't seem as urgent. 2. ...

Re: 1.5 Insane Wyrmic guide

Thanks for this guide! I'm really interested in trying out a Wyrmic character now. As someone who has never played the class before I've got a bit of a noobish question that relates to the strategy of playing one: you mentioned the possibility of getting some extra bump damage with nature mindstars...

Re: 1.5 Insane Wyrmic guide

Relying on Ice Wall is dangerous in what universe is relying on an ability with range 10 dangerous lol >but relying on the talent that is literally random is not dangerous much sane, very logic I dunno man, it worked fine for me. Quake's only somewhat random. The knockback is guaranteed and with a ...

you didn't answer the question about tinkers
if you have the option to go 2h and take tinkers, then you use sawrd since its basically guarenteed with new pride vaults
I wanted to make a build that was about the class and not an artifact liable to get nerfed into the ground any day now.

Re: 1.5 Insane Wyrmic guide

why do you have 0 points in Wyrmic's single best talent until after level 30 Quake is part of the core build. He wasn't referring to Quake. You proved him right. Also regarding mindstars, mindstar egos are intended to suck with the exception of Parasitic/Sand since they get huge free APR and mindpo...

why do you have 0 points in Wyrmic's single best talent until after level 30 Your post would be more useful if you stated what talent you think that is. This "guide" is beyond help. I was just curious about the reasoning, but OP doesn't seem to want to elaborate. /beats Insane w/ Wyrmic /...

1.5 Insane Wyrmic guide

Inspired by this semi-guide... http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=55&t=46403 ...I decided to make a run at winning with a Wyrmic on insane. Character: https://te4.org/characters/215406/tome/c5faa4f9-4a5f-427d-a001-9e4f54c4dabd (don't know why it thinks he's level 39, and he's not showing up i...

Re: Alternate Temporal Warden Insane difficulty guide

Time Dilation is much better on paper than it is in practice. If you spend two turns not using a non-instant chronomancy talent due to brainlock, stun, needing to move, talents failing due to high paradox, etc then you lose the buff making you start again from zero. I don't think most TW attack tal...
