Wickiet the Sillier (RL) (Nightmare)

Pulled a win with a Cormac Temporal Warden that wasted a catpoint by boosting a tree (not even a good one), and opened Temporal Hounds at 10. I was not building optimally, and I was doing so on purpose to see how far I'd get. https://te4.org/characters/191722/tome/ca7d81b2-7c9c-4aec-ad3f-b13573a001d...

Thag the Smash Mage

Thag began his life as the idea of, "You know, Earth and Stone are considered pretty poor, as far as builds go." That thought met the idea of an archmage who didn't quite... 'get it'. Thag 's talents at the time of his death: Arcane: 4 / 1 / 1 / 5 Earth: 5 / 4 / 5 / 5 Stone: 4 / 5 / 1 / 3 ...

So uh, is IRC dead for anyone else? (6/24-6/25)

It's been unresponsive and not really worked since darkgod made 300-some people spam all of the gold-get achievements at the same time across the channels. Is it everybody or just me?

Re: (1.5.5) Necromancer - Quality of (un)Life

Curse of the Meek has a high chance to return souls when the summoned critters die, that's in a locked tree, so it's not impossible at all :) This is also a good reason to pick Higher as your race for Highborn's Bloom or Hidden Resources as one of your prodigies, there's also having Celia's Heart a...

(1.5.5) Necromancer - Quality of (un)Life

So, for a large part I think Necromancer is in a good spot right now. I do not believe it needs a complete rework. ... ... OK now that we've got that out of the way, there's something that REALLY pisses me off about the actual mechanics. Necromancers are about powerful magic, and raising the dead. W...

Re: reDead Bones

... I've got a minion-based Necromancer to 30ish in EoR and concur with what you've said. The whole "souls" resource is pretty garbage and, as you say, seriously hurts viability against solo bosses who have AoE. The minions' damage is actually pretty good: I have 5/5 in both minion skills...

Re: reDead Bones

I was actually doing OK, went dreadfell for a bit to farm up souls in between taking out those stupid bosses in the graveyard, killed Celia, unlocked lichform, got a few points in, and went 'Oh hey yeah far portal thing, I should be able to clear that out.' ... Then a stupid saw horror time wardon p...

Re: reDead Bones

Just got run out of Derth. So much lightning, and so much of it ignoring my minions to target me! I'm going to do the Old Forest in hopes of picking up some lightning resist. If I can't get some serious protection, I don't know if I can take on the stupid tempest a-hole.

reDead Bones

So I'm trying a horrible rotten no good hilariously fun idea. I'm playing a Roguelike Nightmarish Necromancer! I've already died a ton and most often to my stupidity before even getting through a few teir 2 dungeons. It's *fun* though. "BUT WAIT!" you might say, "Necromancer isn't THA...

1.5.5 Battlefield Machinery Steam Butcher thoughts.

So, in the various guides for steambutcher (most of which are a bit older) 3 out of the 4 Battlefield Machine talents were basically considered tax and generally anywhere from 'not good' to 'terribad' in terms of opinions, but I was curious, as I often am, so I made a steam butcher on normal, picked...

Re: (1.4.3) Exhaustive Wyrmic Guide.

Just wanted to add -- Wild Growth doesn't apply to Fungal Growth. Or if it does, not correctly.

Also the Fungal Growth description is a bit misleading. The regen isn't for 35% of the heal per turn, it's for 35% in total.

Anyway I gotta go now, I will probably add some more suggestions later. Nice job writing all of this up, must have taken a long time! Thank you for the compliment. It took... oh a few hours of writing, checking, and a few interruptions. Still if it helps folks, I'm glad. Also I'm adding your commen...

Re: A possible Glacial Vapours replacement idea

I've come to realize that I've been thinking about Glacial Vapour in the wrong way. I've been grouping it as an attack spell since it does damage, but instead, it's better to think of it as an AOE debuff that softens things up for other spells until such time that you can follow a tidal wave up with...
