Well how do I know the file I'm SUPPOSED to find is?

I've been trying to add addons but I could not find where to put them. I have been hearing about how you are supposed to put them in the addons folder. But when I check the T-Engine folder, an addons folder does not appear anywhere. Am I doing something wrong? Am I checking the wrong folder? Or did ...
