Re: Why do I suck at this game?
I appreciate the advice from everyone. I wasn't really complaining. I've been playing Dark Souls for the past year so I'm ok with a steep learning curve. It just seemed like other people were having an easier time than me. With Dark Souls, I at least have an excuse for being bad since I play with a ...

Re: Weapons Pack
I didn't realize prodigy gave +5 points. I just assumed it opened up the talent category. I still don't see anything attractive about tridents other than maybe the prodigy frees up points for other abilities.

Re: Generalist Class Pack
I wanted to stick with vanilla until I played more, but after hearing people say some classes are much easier than others I sort of decided that making my own class probably wouldn't be much worse in terms of balance. I do think vanilla classes are still more interesting than most RPGs I've played.

Re: Why do I suck at this game?
I've sort of taken a break from this game because I was playing too much, but before I stopped I did try using a wild infusion. It's just hard to decide because there have been so many times when either a shield rune or healing infusion saved me. I did find some items that can remove status effects,...

Re: Improved Auto-Explore and Rest
I also installed this mod around the same time: http://te4.org/games/addons/tome/faster-runrestexplore I haven't had a chance to test without Improved Auto-Explore and Rest or the Faster Rest/explore mod. I sort of took a break from this game due to the insane amount of hours I spending every night....

Re: Weapons Pack
I don't really see what the point of tridents are. I suppose exotic weapon mastery is more attractive now that spears are added with this mod, but not worth spending a prodigy point IMO. Tridents don't seem to have any special properties or advantages over other weapons (unless I'm missing some deta...

Re: Going outside of vanilla - too overpowered?
I wasn't referring to the class packs specifically. Just wanted to make that clear since some of the comments might have assumed that. However, even the vanilla classes aren't altogether balanced from what I've heard. For example, one person said that with some classes he plays an a high difficulty ...

Re: Generalist Class Pack
If I'm the only one interested in this I don't mind just using the adventurer class if there's a lot of work editing this mod, but if there is more interest for this mod it would be cool if it were a little more balanced. I've ended up sometimes mixing and matching abilities from different classes w...

Re: Going outside of vanilla - too overpowered?
There's a mod that lets you choose your escort for escort missions. So I'm able to get the Light spells which give healing and shields (although I just noticed the MAG requirements are pretty high for certain builds). And another one lets you buy the rewards (although they do cost 1000 gold). And th...

Going outside of vanilla - too overpowered?
So I've been installing mods recently and some of them seem to be making certain things easier. I decided to go back to normal difficulty even though I haven't beaten it on easy, but now I'm feeling somewhat guilty for some of the mods I've installed (or have been considering installing).

Re: Improved Auto-Explore and Rest
(I'm not 100% sure it this mod, but almost certain.) So it seems some of the chest behavior is not working as I expected. It stops at the chest once, but then if I don't open it then it doesn't go back to it later. I often want to clear out the roaming mobs before opening chests so I'd prefer to go ...

Re: Why do I suck at this game?
I did decide to switch back to normal. It's true that I still haven't beat it on easy, but it is more interesting on the normal difficulty. One of the reasons I had tried easy is because I was curious how end game would be in terms of stats, techniques, and gear. In regards to grinding, I do have a ...

Generalist Class Pack
I've been trying to post a comment about this mod, but I keep getting an error The submitted from address () is not valid. This is the mod: http://te4.org/games/addons/tome/generalist Adds generalist classes, which gain all talent trees within a meta-class. My comment regarding it is below: Most or ...

Re: Why do I suck at this game?
So after a few more playthroughs on normal I decided to sacrifice my pride and go back to easy. I really need to play through the entire game with different classes to get a better idea of how the game works. With runes/infusions I usually go for shield/fast heal/regen, but maybe I should consider w...

Re: No damage to boss/rares in Maze
Horned Horror is a Brawler, I believe. Thus, he has striking stance which grants him flat damage reduction. Shouldn't be more than 15-20 tops, though. That might be possible if it was applied to each damage type. So that without resistances and an average of 5 damage types I'd normally do 5*20=100....
