It might be because the ant doesn't have sight of you. Most talents don't do damage if the actor doesn't have sight of the player in some cases... Fix: c) Give Archers some way to either increase projectile speed substantially, decrease self-damage substantially, or both. As I mention already in the initial post, this does not seem to be related to the projectile completely missing.
