Yes, I may very well have done that. I would sometimes alter the name of the parent directory, but never any of the underlying files. Any ideas as to where this internal check or name might be, so I could update it to match the current directory name? I'm not sure what the name was that I might have...

I found out that if I create a new character, save it, then load that save file, it behaves normally and loads the file.

I tried loading up a saved game and instead of taking me where it should, it brought me to the new character generation screen.
