Re: Necromancer suck on Insane
PS I was so close to Lichdom... Found the problem, it's user error as usual. PS -- The bee's damage output has no effect on your ability to hurt it because Necromancer's two best sources of damage in the first half of the game are a DoT spell (so you can just stick it on him and then tele...

Re: Alchemist Rework Ideas
give the golem all of the player's resists and armor equal to the player's current spellpower, as long as the player is alive
the only downside is that this might cause alchemist rares to matter

Re: Newbie here: Decent, up-to-date Archer guides?
I've also noted some other classes seem to argue for stun immunity/blind immunity/etc? Or is the archer answer to this and all things "Fight from outside their range?" ...and if so, how do you deal with those charming close-quarter situations? Instantly bail out to long range when they ha...

Re: Newbie here: Decent, up-to-date Archer guides?
Do you like getting hit by war hounds and ritches? Do you like getting put to sleep? Do you like being fearscaped? Do you like having Inner Demons used on you? You don't? Well if your weapon has range 9, you have 100% immunity to all of those things, and many other things as well. This, by the way, ...

Re: Newbie here: Decent, up-to-date Archer guides?
Thanks much, gang. Nice to see some good advice. Any suggestions about good stats/points of emphasis/things to aim for (no pun intended) on bows and quivers? (I get the feeling that sling/shield archers are very niche, so I'm just focusing on the above. Happy to be corrected.) Bow/Sling is now basi...

Yeah, I'll clean that guide up and make a proper post in a day or so. All you REALLY need to know is that Trueshot, Headshot, and Piercing ammunition are completely bonkers.

Re: 1.5 Insane Wyrmic guide
Relying on Ice Wall is dangerous in what universe is relying on an ability with range 10 dangerous lol >but relying on the talent that is literally random is not dangerous much sane, very logic a viable insane build for a class thought to have none wow and he's modest too, here's your cool guy tryh...

This "guide" is beyond help. I was just curious about the reasoning, but OP doesn't seem to want to elaborate.Number43 wrote:Your post would be more useful if you stated what talent you think that is.voltteccer wrote:why do you have 0 points in Wyrmic's single best talent until after level 30

Re: [1.5.x] Class/Race Tier List
Ogre Bulwark is probably C tier now because NINETEEN, and the >200 healmod you have from gear nowadays. Skirmisher might be D tier now, but maybe scoundrel cat is better than I'm giving it credit for.

Re: What Makes a Win Legit?
playing on insane right now and with this crazy amount of rare/random items i don't get why you are still need to kill poor civilians :) also i really like ID, especially on possessor :D You don't need to drown at all since the starting gold is enough to buy a mindblast torque and a couple decent i...

Re: What Makes a Win Legit?
Yes, from my experience playing easy/normal/nightmare/insane. Haven't tried madness. Abusing drowning makes the game about one level easier. So winning on insane with drowning is about the same achievement as winning on nightmare without drowning. Said the guy with no wins on either Insane or Night...

Basically 1.4.9 Marauder was like a really cool and fun Adventurer build, and 1.5 Marauder is like a really lame and unimpressive Adventurer build.

Re: Yet another propose for block mechanics
If all shields passively blocked all damage types and we made no other changes, blocking would still not be all that great. Notice how Demonologist effectively has a 100% uptime Block, that is instant-use, with built-in Spectral Shield AND built-in Eternal Guard, AND cures status ailments. That's ho...
