Tidal Wave invisible when using ASCII.

Windows 10, AMD card, Intel CPU.

When using ASCII (with or without background) the effect of Tidal Wave is invisible.
When I switch to Modern tiles and use Tidal Wave, it shows up without problems.

I mean if people use ascii its because they dont want fancy gfx stuff I assume ? I use ASCII because tiles are next to impossible to read for me. I enjoy shaders, fancy backgrounds, cool spell animations, nicer walls and environment. But monsters and items need to be symbols for me. I tried, but it...

This is a suggestion to fix graphics issues for AMD users. Some shaders do not work properly and there is no clear solution how to fix that. This is a shader issue that DarkGod said is hard to fix (this bug is years old). AMD drivers for some reason render shaders slightly differently than expected and it results in bugged auras.

[1.3.0] Unarmed breath attacks?

Higher Cursed character.
I bought a +19 lightning on melee hit shield and could not afford a good 1-hander so I just wore the shield.
To my surprise, every couple of attacks, my character breathes lightning instead of melee attacking.

Is this some sort of hidden feature, or just a silly bug?
