ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

While evading Orc Patrols in the Far East, I saw them frequently get stuck on mountain chains, or forests. Normally, this isn't so bad, and they seem to reset if you enter another area. Unfortunately, a patrol got stuck at a narrow pass, and now I have no way out.

That would explain it then!

I was trying to clear the Rektor mines, and had been forced to use my Wrap of Stone to make walls around me when I fled up some stairs. I fled successfully, rested for several turns, and returned. The walls were still there. They should have been gone in 3 turns.

I think I know what sets it apart: A thoughtful, and easy to use interface, & a lot of story. Interface: I've tried to play ADOM, but even though I'm 45, and grew up with complex keyboard interfaces, I couldn't get into it; not when I know there are better ways to go about having fun. Every time...
