Re: The wayist has left the building
Did you run into any teleporting enemies on your way to the Wayist? I saw a post a while back where a rare teleported away, landed in the Wayist room, and killed the yeek before the player ever opened the door down there.

Re: See the Thread
Huh, really? It never occurred to me to try to use this talent for scumming drops. I love it as a Contingency hook on the new Temporal Warden: when an emergency situation hits, I get three tries to escape successfully. It saved me twice in my current run, once against the Master and once against the...

Re: Linking a creature in chat ?
It's for chatting with other ToME players about the things you encounter in game. If you're logged in to your online ToME profile, other players can see those monster links (as well as item links, achievements you score, etc.), so you can share your horror at encountering some ridiculous rare or uni...

Re: Graphical glitch
Do non-rare NPCs sometimes use this? I notice this a lot on enemy sprites in the Mark of the Spellblaze.

Re: Saving the Wayist [spoiler]
The Subject Z encounter seems to me to be one of those Roguelike-peculiar situations where you're not meant to succeed the first time you encounter it, but on future runs you know it's coming and can prepare for it. Any class can save the Wayist, but may need unusual tactics to do so, which may in t...

I've got this too. Just spun up a TW to try the new shinies, and no Apprentice Mage on the map.

Achievement artwork
Some of the achievemnt artwork looks pretty cool, but the badges are postage-stamp-sized. Is there a gallery somewhere for browsing the full images they're shrunk down from?

Re: Skin Tone options for player dolls
That'd work! Though customization options are better for the player than random, methinks.

Re: Talent level glimpse mode
I'd love something like this too.
I've been wondering how best to go about a build-planning app for ToME similar to those that many skill-tree-based games (WoW, Diablo II-III, Path of Exile...) have in Web format. The OP idea would fill that role at least for classes I have active characters in!

Re: Skin Tone options for player dolls
Some basic lore of what skin tones are common in different regions wouldn't hurt, but no reason that the work needed to create them should wait for such things. Where would you even see that lore in-game? A sentence or two in the race descriptions?

Re: Melinda and Tropes vs. Women in Video Games
I'm one of those folks for whom eye-rolling tropes like damsels in distress have a direct impact on my enjoyment of the game. +1 to randomized skin tones, more romance options (or none at all, if Melinda's subplot is likely to be the depth we'll get), and better agency for the Melinda character! Eve...

Re: [ongoing] Possible to leave rod of recall in Abashed Exp
"Surely nobody would do that!" is the lead-in to many many bugs.
Besides, the fact that Abashed Expanse shifts around so much, and the possibility that someone might bail from the undead dungeon escaping a bad encounter with a rare... these things do happen.

Re: Improving Trash Enemies
I already get pinned sporadically by foxes, which is sufficient to make them a nuisance! Stealth + pin would be worth worrying about.
