Everybody (who got this far) knows that Limmir, the jeweler of the Valley of the Moon quest, will add a random third gem to the two that you give him. If you have the "See the Threads" skill, e.g. from the Threads of Fate cloak, then start the skill just before you give Limmir your precio...

Your problem is that you are getting into situations that 1 movement infusion will not save you from. Plus TW doesn't care about silence offensively since their best attack talent is shoot. I don't see how these can always be avoided, especially in dungeons with narrow corridors, like some in High ...

That, of course, is why Aether Permeation sucks. It actually nerfs your best resistances. It'd be a good prodigy if, and only if, you got to keep any resistances above that, i.e. if you had max fire resistance then it'd check that. Anyway, I'm off course... My problem with much of this game is opaq...

short staves are rere. "short" is an ego, not a separate item. I was playing this on Insane difficulty, and there short staves are not super common, but one definitely finds some every now and then. On lower difficulties, they seem to be rarer, so you might have to go with a conventional ...
