Re: Weapon Based Wyrmic Semi-Guide
Sorry for the very slow response. I didn't notice this message. I finally managed to win with an ogre wyrmic: http://te4.org/characters/116737/tome/0abbe44f-2289-43f2-9b19-59ef7d8f2374 I didn't have the Blighted Maul, but did most of the end game with a variety of two handed weapons in one hand and ...

Re: Assassin - Complete Rogue Rework v1.8
I've been looking into stealth recently and I have a few ideas about how to improve it. I was thinking about doing an add-on to try the ideas, but kind of gave up on the idea due to this rework. However, if it still seems like it might be useful, I might carry on from where greyswandir left off. The...

Re: Ancestral Life and Healing Infusions
Yes. That is the correct value. And after playing around with it yesterday, I concur that it is *not* triggering. But as you say, there are some strange things going on. I wonder if the 7 turn regeneration is a bug (the documentation says 6). Also other healing effects that don't take a turn should ...

Re: Ancestral Life and Healing Infusions
However, when you use a healing infusion, the regeneration counter is 7. It should be 6. You might think that the extra is from Wild Growth, but if you put more than one point in Wild Growth, the regeneration counter is *still* 7. My theory (which is completely unchecked) is that the extra energy is...

Re: Stealth, and Unseen Actions+Luck
Sorry. My previous posts are far from clear :-) I'll try to summarize. Luck only works with Unseen Actions. It gives you +0.2% chance to avoid losing stealth in Unseen Actions for every point above 50. Luck is notoriously difficult to acquire so getting much over 100 luck is pretty much impossible. ...

Re: Weapon Based Wyrmic Semi-Guide
Yes, it's pretty clear in the code that it is not intended to proc the energy increase, but my experience is similar to ST_rang_er. Unfortunately I got distracted by the stealth code and haven't had a chance to test this out properly. Easiest way is to comment out the disable_ancestral_life lines an...

Re: Stealth, and Unseen Actions+Luck
Sigh... I should have dug into the code deeper before I opened my mouth.... The "to hit" function that is used for determining whether or not someone sees you is the *old* "to hit" function which uses completely different math to the current "to hit" functionality. And ...

Re: Stealth, and Unseen Actions+Luck
Sorry to go on about this, but I realized one other unfortunate issue with my test character. In certain circumstances (possibly only vaults, but I didn't read the code closely), if *one* of your opponents can see you, then they tell their friends where you are. So if you are fighting those pesky Zi...

Re: Stealth, and Unseen Actions+Luck
Probably I should update the wiki with this information. I'm not quite sure how to get access to the edit pages... Mordy: It does seem annoying, but actually when I was testing, I found it quite fun to play. Of course some people won't like how fiddly the mechanics are. The main thing is that you ha...

Re: Stealth, and Unseen Actions+Luck
I had a little more time to look into the code closely and to test it. The problem for breaking stealth is *not* Unseen Actions. The problem is that if you attack when the opponent has noticed you, then you deactivate stealth. Luckily, whenever the opponent targets you (in other words, can see you) ...

Re: Weapon Based Wyrmic Semi-Guide
Very interesting. In fact not only does the code imply it, but the comment on the check in says, "healing infusion doesn't proc ancestral life". I need to test it a bit more carefully, but my impression was that it works exactly the same as a totem of healing, which does not seem to disabl...

Re: Weapon Based Wyrmic Semi-Guide
Congrats! That sounds really good. The addition of icy skin is really excellent and I will give it a go next time around. Thanks for trying the build

Re: Stealth, and Unseen Actions+Luck
I only quickly looked at the code (and this is old code that is probably missing some stealth changes, but it's what I had on hand). Anyway in this code for every point of luck over 50 that you have, you get a 0.2% chance to avoid breaking stealth. So at 100 luck you will have an extra 25% chance to...

Re: Weapon Based Wyrmic Semi-Guide
Sigh... well, my character died after returning from the east. Probably I could have avoided the death if I had been a little more careful. Got stunned by a rare (stupid), and while battling the boss got frozen with both my physical wild and heroism on cool down. This led to the realization of a wea...

Re: Weapon Based Wyrmic Semi-Guide
Ahh!!! I wondered how a mindstar build would work! I can see how that's potentially incredibly strong. Nature's equilibrium would give you another heal as well, which basically gives you yet another almost free turn every 15. Now I want to try that  but I should see about trying to win with my ...
