IIRC, affinity heal is subject to healmod, right?
That's something to keep in mind, when judging just how much affinity all is safe to give to a player.

[1.5.5] Bow Randart Properties
Just looted a (Dex, Ranger's, Swiftstrike) randart bow in my latest game, and was very happy with it until I noticed that it had damage type: Light, making the physical resistance penetration it granted less than useful. Except, as I quickly discovered, it isn't the bow that determines the type of d...

Guardian Unity weirdness
Tried taking a Temporal Warden through the new Infinite Dungeon, and noticed some oddities with this skill. The one I'm sure of is that the initial damage sharing is wrong; with a reported initial reduction of 47% and a lasting reduction of 23%, I'm seeing initial hits share a bit less than a third ...

Re: Inscription Guide 1.4.9
I did that test with a duration 4 rune; good to hear it'll refresh to the Phase Door's duration if it's longer than 5.Tryble wrote:The duration refresh to 5 isn't 5 specifically, but rather the duration of the phase door rune you originally used;

Re: Inscription Guide 1.4.9
Having had the opportunity to check that an old synergy I knew about is still around, I'd like to emphasize bpat's Phase Door rune recommendation with a little extra bit of data. Any source of Out of Phase buffs stacks with the Phase Door rune. This applies to all characters, but is the most importa...

Re: Inscription Guide 1.4.8
Interesting note for Healing infusions, specific to fungus users: Fungal Growth's free regen has healing mod applied twice (once for the heal, once for the regen), so combined with being able to make non-infusion heals instant users of the Fungus tree actually have a reason to use them compared to R...

Re: Are Blade Threading and Bow Threading spells?
This problem finally irritated me enough to actually test, rather than just poke at code.
Blade Threading and Bow Threading both can trigger Corrupted Strength.
Arrow Stitching's clones will trigger it, even!
Just, you know, at melee range with a bow bash, so kinda shit.

Re: Are Blade Threading and Bow Threading spells?
Important note: While Blade Threading and Bow Threading skills might not trigger Reaving Combat, they do trigger Temporal Dilation, and get shut down by silence. Edit: Having gone and poked at the code a bit, Corrupted Strength triggers after talent activation for talents that a) aren't instant, b) ...

Re: Accuracy bonus questions
don't forget about diminishing returns, if both you and enemy had both 0 acc and def, then that buff would be "maybe" 80%. but with diminishing returns, i don't think it could reach 25%. For most characters, I'd expect it to be in the 25%-35% range. 35% if you're at between 40 and 46 accu...

Re: Making Primal Infusion desirable
"longest-duration debuff" was the suggestion, and I think it'd work.twas Brillig wrote:Predictable how? is the question.
Giving priority to various disables is significantly more buff than I think is necessary or desirable, but I can't claim enough experience for any certainty.

Re: Making Primal Infusion desirable
What if we did something fun like make it specifically target your longest debuff, and heal you proportional to its duration? In addition to the affinity, you mean? Hrm. How often is the longest-duration debuff going to be the highest-priority one to remove? Simply making which debuff will be remov...

Re: Weapon damage averages?
All things being equal, is there any reason I shouldn't count elemental damage bonuses on top of the normal weapon damage range? All things being equal, you're probably raising the stats that your weapon damage is based on and collecting physical +% damage and penetration. And none of those effects...

Striking Stance gives flat damage reduction. It's something to watch out for with Brawler rares.Morikal wrote:I didn't see anything that would let him absorb arcane on his armor, or so much physical damage. Re: Anti-magic shield--how to get rid of the equilibrium?
Life Pots and just passing turns on the overmap will also lower it, by the way.Morikal wrote:EDIT: I see Resolve can lower my equilibrium... is that the only way?
Not really important for a character that's unlocked the fungus tree, but it's useful until then.

Re: Make Melinda and Aeryn friendly instead of neutral
I think the kidnapped merchant should also be friendly: after all, he's standing one tile away when you audibly refuse to align with the assassin lord. Assuming you talk to the Assassin Lord in the first place, and don't simply start slaughtering his men. I know that's how I usually do things. It m...
