ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I don't want the cat to hit the training dummy while I'm testing my damage. So I was wondering if there's any way to tell the cat to - off. I tried killing it but it takes no damage.

So ToME is free to play but it can also be bought from Steam. Donating gives access to the custom tiles so does buying ToME from Steam also give access to them?
