The most stylish option would be to do that while fighting the Master, reenacting the Inigo Montoya/Westley swordfight ("See? I can do it too!")

Re: Melissa Destroys Loot

B) why would you leave your loot outside of the treasury?! Many reasons for this, actually. Like having stacks of +DEX or +CON or whatever stat you need to qualify for talents or prodigies. Or depending on ego, e.g "I think I had something here to go scuba-diving, but I can't remember if it wa...

Re: Seems like a cool game, but the one shot kill bosses....

Dying is how you learn not to die. It is entirely expected for this to happen. You wasted a good opportunity to double on your opening oxymoron here, so let me rewrite this: It is entirely expected for unexpected death to happen . (Because the only predictable thing about ToME is it's often unpredi...

Re: Ruined dungeon: missing clues

I guess what the OP missed is that two clues can be collated in a single sentence, as in "the eldritch (arcane) force burns (fire) all that lives"

Never Stop Running. Especially good on characters with lots of stamina (high willpower) they don't have other uses for.

Re: Regarding gold chests

This is one of the reasons that I love Paradox Mages...just look into the future and see what the chest guardians are. Yeh. Unfortunately the number of times you can use it is limited. Wormhole makes PMs even better at dealing with chests, since you can cast it ON the chest and choose an exit locat...

[1.3.1] Caustic Mire: inaccurate (or misleading) description

All creatures caught in the mire will also suffer a X% slowness effect. So it'd be natural to assume that these creatures should have their global speed modified by a (100 - X) factor, right? According to their tooltip, it's actually (100 - 2/3 X) (I think I've noticed this also with other "sl...

Not okay, way too many holes. Swiss cheese has holes, but Tome hasn't - and I know quite a few Savoyard people who'd see holes in their Tome as a legitimate casus belli.

Re: Chrono Artifacts

But there's a "portable hole" in the game already, that unique shield I can't remember the name of, which description says it's basically a hole a zany chronomancer grafted a handle onto.

Also, when the same ego gets rolled twice, there probably should be a +1 talent level bonus to the ability.

Re: Chrono Artifacts

Well, that's what the "Views" counter is for, isn't it? Comment #1: having Time Skip as an on-hit effect on the Blade of Distorted Time sounds both fun and thematic, but I'm afraid some might find it frustrating. Comment #2: some of your proposed artifacts seem geared towards Chronomancy-b...

Re: Call for Chrono Artifact and Ego ideas

Considering that Epoch's Curve is 'Teh True' Temporal Warden's bow, I think it'd be cool to be able to upgrade it the way you do with Spellhunt's Remnants, by "consuming" other temporal-based unique artifacts. The problem here is, there's no specifically "temporal" power source i...

Re: Getting Doomed off the ground

Proceed to go all-in on Shadows; max the first three talents before you think about spending class points elsewhere. Except you should always spend a point on Focus Shadows as soon as you hit level 12, as this one is a real lifesaver. Don't be too eager to target enemies with Focus Shadows, unless ...

Re: Getting into nightmare: Doomelf Alchemist

Eye of the Tiger can be really good on Alchemists, as it can mean ~33% extra damage output from bombs as long as you can reliably crit.

Arcane Might, too. Going from 80% to 130% damage from your main stat is a big improvement if you plan to use Staff Combat a lot.
