When I fought Atamathon on my brawler, I got barbequed by the retaliation damage. Combination kick destroys the reflect damage sustain, axe kick reliably shuts off all his talents because he has no confusion resistance, exploit weakness can work on his resistances, and grappling is as good as always...

Spellshock does not divide their resistances, it subtracts from them. The change in their resists is shown on their character sheet. Maybe next time you could try finding some gloves of dispersion before fighting him. Discovering whether or not you can outlast fearscape the hard way is not fun.

If they are granted on-carry, they don't need to be that strong, because the only thing the option costs you is the encumbrance from having the digger in your inventory. You need a torque of thermal shield to fight atamathon on a brawler. His retaliation is about 300 fire damage with his damage mods accounted for.

If you take off the cloak in town and immediately put it back on, anything that saw you will target you but not attack you, causing them to follow you.
