I know the frustration of becoming determined to fix a problem and being stymied. No worries!
How about a feature where as your paradox gets higher, all game fonts get gradually replaced by wingdings?

I can confirm that I was able to play a character through, so far, around 15 levels with several saves/reloads, and no issues.

Uploaded a save -new char, leveled to 10 without ever exiting, then exited to main menu, and hang upon trying to reload:

I'm also guessing it's the d["font"]= in the engine.ui.Dialog-0x0dc85c28 file. I created another character, changed a font size this time, and the same thing happened. I went back and looked at all the characters this is affecting and they all have no data for the "font" field. W...

Crash when I start fighting the Master - reproduced
I keep getting:
Lua Error: /engine/DamageType.lua:70: damage type nil used but undefined\
when the fight starts with The Master. It ends up looping constantly and I cannot clear it, and in the meantime the game keeps playing!
