Re: Wyrmic for casuals(move to Wilder plz)
Is this guide still mostly relevant for 1.7.6? How good is anti-magic? How good or bad is going with a 2HW instead of 1HW + shield? I had a look at the vault and Thalore seems to be the most popular / successfull race on roguelike insane (most winners). Cornac and dwarf have some winners too, though...

Crafty Hands prodigy
The crafty hands prodigy can only be used by one class (if we don't count Adventurer). But even for this one class, it is not worth it compared to some other options, especially now that Ethereal Form and Arcane Amplification Drone exist. Other prodigies that also overshadow it: swift hands, cauteri...

Re: Inscription Guide 1.4.9
Alchemist: Don’t know because I am awful at this class. Probably the core with something swapped for Manasurge. An alchemist doesn't need manasurge. I love teleport on alchemist, but I understand your reservations about it. The core set works if you have a torque of psychoportation. Rune of the Rif...

Re: werecreatures (race and monsters and nation)
If lycanthropy is implemented as an infection, it would allow a terrible monster to enter the game: the weredwarf. In everyday life he seems to be a normal dwarf, but when the moon is full his skin bursts open and he transforms into a.. dwarf.
You will run, but there will be no escape.

Bill the troll is a bit tougher than the other starting dungeon bosses, but not much.

Re: Current workable archmage builds?
On normal difficulty I had a lot of fun with a hybrid wildfire / storm build. Air / storm doesn't use up that many points, so you can combine them with a second element quite well. It will make crowds of monsters melt like butter.

Arcane Amplification Drone and alchemists
Alchemist Bombs are not reflected by Arcane Amplification Drone, if you take alchemist protection. Channel Staff is not reflected, either. Both of these are very sad. Letting the damage of both abilities be reflected by AAD would be justified and give one of the weakest classes a small boost. On the...

Re: INSANE alchemist guide in detail
Super sad that Channel Staff does not work with AAD.
By the way, does Garkul´s Revenge still result in 1600% damage from AAD, or has that cheat.. I mean, strategy been gutted?

Re: INSANE alchemist guide in detail
I thought Arcane Amplification Drone didn't work with Bombs because Alchemist protection also protects the drone? Or has that been changed?

Off-topic, but I see people talk about the changes in 1.6. Curious if I can read about those somewhere? Or do you have to be part of the inner crowd?

Re: drowning townsfolk
Also i disagree that the start of the game is balanced around drowning, the start of the game is actually made trivial by drowning while playing without it is actually interesting. We don't really disagree, you're saying the same thing but from the pov of a better player. :P Glad this will be fixed...

drowning townsfolk
At higher difficulties, drowning all of the innocent rares in town is 100% risk free and the rewards are very, very good. The rewards are so good that the start of the game had to be balanced around it, and because of that, all games at higher difficulty now have to start by doing this. But isn't th...
