How the heck do I use the ingame chat? I see others messages but I can't type anything.

Mouse cursor is missing when playing fullscreen on Windows Vista x64 OS. Tried two Vista machines, same result on each, works fine on Windows 7 though. I've tried disabling custom cursor without any luck, is there any solution short of running the game in windowed mode?
