Re: Addon creation?
Yeah, I agree with aspects of that, but I was thinking in terms of ToME specifically. It's just sooo big with many interacting systems. When I started on my first addon—I just wanted to enlarge the font size—I already had years of experience coding in many different languages. I enlarge the font siz...

Re: Addon creation?
I've been playing tome for a few years now and I love it! I love this community, the fact that a "dumb questions" topic exists shows how awesome you all are. Now, down to business. For all the time I've spent on this game I've always wanted to create an addon. But I have no fricking clue ...

Re: could environmental effects get drawn under characters?
It would still get busy if a lot of different effects are happening, but it might make sense to allow only one layer of each effect on top of avatars to make it clear what's going on and then placing any additional copies underneath.

Re: [1.5.0] Windows not scaling well with font size over 100
I set the font size to "normal" and scaled at 100%, 150%, and 200%. At 150%, there was overlap on the "Cancel" button, but I could find a spot where I could click it. At 200%, the overlap was complete and I couldn't find a way to click on the button and had to kill the ToME proce...

Re: [1.5.0] Windows not scaling well with font size over 100
I wasn't sure which would be the best approach. I haven't had time to play with it much, just a quick look, but I'll try to get more details in a bit. I have a larger monitor now, so thankfully I don't have to scale up the fonts as much as I did with the addon.

[1.5.0] Windows not scaling well with font size over 100%
"Added a Font Scaling option to the video menu, from 50% to 300%" I love this! Looks like a big update with some great stuff! Unfortunately, with font sizes on "big" and anything over 100%, buttons and text overlap each other on the "new character" screen. I haven't gon...

Re: Accessibility features and the UI
It's possible we could fairly easily integrate some bits of what Marson did but I wouldn't be surprised if other parts were sort of hacked together solutions that don't have a directly elegant implementation. You called it. Some features would be a snap, like disabling background sounds. Unfortunat...

Re: [1.3.0] UI Mod - Bigger fonts, ambient sound toggle, etc
Yeah, the mod definitely won't work with any 1.4+ version. I was halfway through my updates when 1.4.2 came out.

Re: [1.3.0] UI Mod - Bigger fonts, ambient sound toggle, etc
Thanks for the post. I hadn't noticed that 1.4.0 had come out. I haven't been active in a while. I'll try to take a look at it in the next day or two.

Thanks for the update. Have you made sure you are using the most recent drivers for your video card?

Re: abashed expanse and searing halls just black
I haven't edited anything in the UI, and to be absolutely sure I used Reset Positions and tested again just now. And, I thought this was the vanilla behavior option... does the mod do something other than fall through to default routines in No Hiding mode? I'm late replying, but... I don't remember...

Re: [1.1.5] Auto-explore & Rest Tweaks
No worries. If you do, post the links here (ToME, and Steam if you upload to the Workshop) and I'll link to them so people subscribed to mine will know.
Just as an aside, I never did figure out the bug in stock ToME that causes a stutter if you try to autoexplore right after killing something.

Re: [1.1.5] Auto-explore & Rest Tweaks
Sorry for the long wait. I haven't done any ToME work in quite a while. Do you have any interest in taking over or forking the addon? That's pretty much what I did with CaptainTrip's 'Rest Tweaks'.

Re: [1.3.0] UI Mod - Bigger fonts, ambient sound toggle, etc
Is your character going under the UI with it enabled? Yes, at least in the upper left and right. It does give me a one-tile black border at the bottom, keeping me from going under the button bar. If the UI element is pulled away from the edge of the screen, then the mod will have a hard time knowin...

Re: [1.3.0] UI Mod - Bigger fonts, ambient sound toggle, etc
I'll try to look at the other issues reported, but you can toggle the entities list on/off with Ctrl-Tab. tejón, 'No Hiding' is supposed to behave just like the original unless you are at the very edge of the screen. Is your character going under the UI with it enabled? As far as default font faces ...
