Re: [1.6.6.] The Untouchable ghoul Paradox Mage against Madn
Heh, what is moving the goalposts. The OP writes a wall of text and spends apparently very considerable amount of time in searching for my posts that are literally five years old trying to prove...uh something to btonasse? 1) Mex's guide Yes, the build was very good, good enough to win madness with....

Re: [1.6.6.] The Untouchable ghoul Paradox Mage against Madn
I honest can care less about save scam or using vault It may come as a surprise but some people, myself included, actually play this game like a roguelike and people who do, care. And it was clearly the OP's intent to present this run in question as a non-cheater one so.... Glad we can agree on the...

Re: [1.6.6.] The Untouchable ghoul Paradox Mage against Madn
First of all, GJ on finding out about the ghoul resilience (well flat dam cap in general) change! The shitstorm known as "1.6" was raging so wildly that apparently they didn't even bother to include it in the patch notes. On discord I could find one non-specific and short mention of this b...

Re: I'm tired of being one-shot
Each patch has fixed things and even some hum .. hostile people .. managed to admit it was for the better. I wouldn't necessarily consider a post titled Death of Tome as an endorsement for the game in question. Why do you feel I don't want to make the game fun for *all* ? :/ Because even with the c...

Re: I'm tired of being one-shot
In 1.6.4 endgame wep dam on monsters is higher now than in 1.5 already when it comes to super spiky damage. Just a couple of examples: I had two characters on HP today, other had 48 % phys res and 112 armour but still got for 2,7 K wep dam but had BoL and went on to win the game. Other char who was ...

Re: [1.6.0] The game feels entirely overtuned/general feedba
Made a quick list of the "best" moments of 1.6-1.6.4 I've personally had on insane/RL, many of them already mentioned in this thread earlier. This only includes one skynet moment although plenty to choose from so not comprehensive by any means. Not all of the bugs/weirdness below are new t...

Re: [1.6.0] The game feels entirely overtuned/general feedba
Yeah also the new AI is operational still too. Player power is prolly hard to balance if there is a chance that you you have to fight a vast majority of an entire pride level going back between the foyer and one small room like 2 tiles away from it. Somehow even the monsters in the north switch room...

Re: [1.6.0] The game feels entirely overtuned/general feedba
Personally though, I'm not sure that any statements about the Insane difficulty or higher having any tuning makes the slightest bit of sense. What? People just pretended that getting some great items from drowning NPCs was part of design On insane the useful part of drowning was to get a few ...

Re: Random 1.6.x thoughts
Fixed bosses were changed. This is no secret if you have paid any attention at all of what's been happening for like the past year. The general thought to my understanding was to buff them or many of them but due to many variables not all of the changes were actually buffs. Urkis was one of the ones...

Re: Thoughts on Annihilators (Insane +)
Dunno if there has been some changes after this thread was made to anni already but this sure doesn't make any sense in the context of 1.6.4. I won anni on insane/rl and the turrets don't really fall off ever for example. Also, considering the OP it's prolly good to mention that I don't need 5/5 in ...

Re: Random 1.6.x thoughts
yeah this is reasonable if all your characters die before lvl 20 but makes zero sense otherwise.it's looking like I'm going to have to add Halfling Ruins and Tempest Peak to my "too deadly; never do" list

Re: going back to a previous area you didn't clean out prope
I was thinking it would be nice if you were forced to clean up each area before moving onwards. No, it would be absolutely terrible and also against one of the most basic rule of roguelikes "run away if you can't kill it" Something like if you moved onwards, there was a penalty on returni...

Re: [1.6.0] The game feels entirely overtuned/general feedba
Snarvid, while it's still early too early for me say anything conclusive and it may very well be clustering illusion or whatever on my part it seems crits indeed are even more murderous now in my games too (combined with insane lvls in res pen talents too when spellcasters are the ones doing the one...

Re: A few gripes with the current patch
E: one thing that showed its age was the expectation that freeze would get nerfed. Cath was in charge of that but went MIA... This is a super easy change, no idea why it would take a specific person to do it Because it's ToME. Assuming patch notes are correct indeed nothing was done to freeze, ESP ...
