I fixed it. I had moved pkg-config.exe within the Tome directory to make it recognize it, since cmake would say it was missing. This because through msys cmake wouldn't start, because it complained sh.exe was in the path. So I ran cmake through a normal DOS prompt and that lead to problems. Instead ...
