Re: The black set
Couldn't you also wear two Black Rings for more Shadow Power and spellcrit? The Black Ring is a little suicidal in melee, though. You proc AoE attacks at guys you're right next to. At range too, Darkfire has quite the radius, and plenty of enemies like to get up in your face whether you'd like it o...

Outside of that, don't gestures completely ignore Psiblades?HousePet wrote:Interesting suggestions.
Not sure about buffing Gesture of Guarding, as it synergises well with Psiblades. ("Your best free hand damage" includes mindstars.)
But anyway, yoinking ideas.

Re: Addon Class: Phantoms
FWIW, I've never been able to properly make use of Creeping Dark. It never seemed to have any discernible impact on my fights as a Doomed, other than the obvious opportunity cost of spending talent points in better and more useful talents that actually did things. Unveil: Have the bonus damage on Un...

Re: Addon Class: Phantoms
Yay! Dev feedback makes me smile! That makes a lot of sense, Shadestalker being darkness and Vile Tactics being mind. I think you can make Unveil work if its either: not restricted to only working on invisible/stealthed enemies, or the class has some weird, quirky, and interesting builder->finisher-...

Re: Addon Class: Phantoms
I'd personally keep Shadestalker as darkness damage. I don't think there's too many darkness damage trees beyond what Necros and Anorithils get. Maybe have the Vile Tactics tree do 'madness' damage (half mind, half darkness, kind of like dreamforge or warp damage)? Also, isn't Unveil a bit too niche...

Out of curiosity, are any specific weapon types (lumping shields in here as well) under-represented?

Re: The most useless prodigy? Looking at you, Lucky Day
you pick up a staff for the +%, and for egos that can have non diminishing bonuses. there is no investment in staff (unless you got it from the shop) and you REPLACE it it as soon as you find a better one. adding S.P. on it is a nice topping, which is appreciated, but it always comes with a better ...

Re: Changes in the Arena
I disagree; skirmishers can easily wreck you even if you are prepared. They're quite strong as PCs, and I can only see that augmented with enemies' stats and abilities from multiple classesRadon26 wrote:hmmm
arena is optional, and skirmisher won't be as scary if you are expecting him.

Re: Ogre Marauder with Psi Blades
How are you handling stat allocation at level up, especially with regard to class abilities & prereqs? When do you start building Wil instead of Str & Dex? Iirc marauders do use some Cun for their abilities. How important do you find Battle Tactics? Are you mainly relying on the Ogre racial ...

Re: Projectiles & their targets
Seeing where a projectile as already been could be somewhat realistic. Of course, trying to predict where they go adds a certain amount of (sometimes frustrating) challenge. I can see how maybe the destination shouldn't always be spelled out, but a trail for where a projectile's been would make thi...

Only sort of. There's no indication of direction, and no indication whether or not a projectile will move directly forwards or diagonally.Radon26 wrote:well, when it comes to arrows and some talents (temporal bold, hammer toss) you can already see the general direction they are moving to.

[1.3.1] Flame of Uhr'Rok display issue
My doombringer sprite will, every so often, briefly turn into a black square while I have Flame of Uhr'Rok activated. I have everything enabled in the graphics options, and I'm running on Win 7, 8GB RAM, and a Radeon 7790. Edit: did some testing, found out it's just Flame of Uhr'Rok that has display...

Re: How do people feel about the Radiance tree?
9 times in a monster pit once against a boss. let me repeat. if you want to kill masses, brandish/retribution are nukers too, as well as is flash of blades. that doesn't mean you "can't" get another one, but really, it is not much help against a boss. you ARE going to take either guardian...

Re: Make all wyrmic skills follow the elemental aspect
And... Yeah, of course wing buffet and bellowing roar are things that fire drakes actually use. Fire Drakes actually have that tree. Wyrmics get the exact same trees as each dragon type comes with, to my knowledge. And it makes sense for a fire drake as an enemy! But it doesn't make as much sense w...
