I like using trackball mice more, it feels like they can take a lot more abuse, but when I need to move it quickly, it's like the computer doesn't register completely where the mouse is going. My optical mouse of maybe 3~ish years died recently (left button stopped working), so I had to switch to a track-ball mouse. I am now constantly finding loose hair around the track-ball, and it is unbelievably annoying.

It's my first time playing! And I get slain by a level 3 troll within 30 seconds, while still figuring out how to move. But, I am loving this game so far. I have quite a bit of experience playing NetHack and Moria, so a lot of this feels great, but getting used to moving/doing things with the mouse ...
