I am having the same problem. I have killed the Rak'Shor Cultist in the crypt in 1.04 with a Cornac Summoner, a human oozemancer, a skeleton reaver, and a Yeek solipsist without ever seeing my clone. I have killed him fast and I have killed him very slow.
