Re: Ranger boring to play?
Yes Stealth seems an interesting idea if Stealth really work :-) And with Stealth in Plain Sight it seems cool, some items provide invisibility and also to see further but it's also skills that seems they could match the class. I suppose that with infravision it's not possible to shoot otherwise inf...

Re: What makes a good tome player?
You are correct about Tempest Peak. The entrance to Lake Nur is in the last level of the Old Forest. The halfling ruins are in the main (west) world map, often tucked away in an obscure spot in the mountains. Make sure you've searched all of the wilderness. Thank you, so I have made already Lake Nu...

Re: What makes a good tome player?
Ok I have search to death and found only Golem Graveyard which is quite small and it seems I'm missing an element probably to find elsewhere. But I couldn't find: - Ruined Halfling Complex (remind me nothing) - Lake Nur (remind me vaguely something) - Tempest Peak But I think I have made already Tem...

Re: Why skills stay constantly with a cooldown not moving?
Again thanks to help, I don't quote the message it's too long. For the comparison for infusions removing effects of one type, that's helpful I was very far to have reach that conclusion. Confusions happen a lot but the point is stun requires check the states when confusions show a clear effect. I th...

Re: Why skills stay constantly with a cooldown not moving?
Several status ailments can stop talents from cooling down. Stunned is the most common and can be inflicted by several enemy talents. Other effects include Burning Shock (from the archmage's Flameshock spell) and Brainlocked (which can be inflicted if you're the target of a mental attack whose powe...

Re: Why skills stay constantly with a cooldown not moving?
The most common cause of this is being Stunned. Status effects are important! I believed have quoted this but then quoted I was not stunned with many urgent skill to use that was with a cooldown of 1. Well it means I wasn't stunned right now and then next turn I would have cooldown back? Well serio...

Re: What makes a good tome player?
Nice quick short guide, thanks. I'm not interested by the Roguelike aspect and extreme caution required because I'm using Infinite resurrect and even now backup before starting a session (for corrupted game but also to avoid being stuck in a place I can't leave and can't win). I'm now with Dreadfell...

Why skills stay constantly with a cooldown not moving?
The title said all, in some fights I just can't setup strategy/tactics because I suddenly get all skills in a cooldown that doesn't move. Right now when trying beat the Dreadfall boss I had my teleport abilities and healing and almost all stuff to 1 or upper, despite I had just recently manage get t...

Re: Ranger boring to play?
My feeling about the Archer is also just a feeling even if some stuff like few skills are a clue. I need dig it more to confirm the feeling of a lack of building choices and a lack of tactical choices. For the first point, firstly it would help to open the sling and bow lines to both weapons types. ...

Re: "Overpowered" classes and player skill levels
Ok I get it, you mean that skills of a class should be balanced but not the overall skills through all classes.

Re: Text over characters heads during combat
Those messages come from states changes because of environment, it's quite rare during combats. But perhaps that should be an option in logs, for those that don't want those messages in logs. For me the combats logs are far to be verbose, there's more a lack of information. Anyway it's a log that yo...

Re: Is it possible to not show keys commands in action bar?
Entering a character name with a mouse is too hard. Ha! Typical DOS user answer. Modern Mac users use a tool to generate a character name, for example for RPG: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dnd/20010208b Then right click, copy, click on game window and paste, well ok in the game ...

Re: Ranger boring to play?
Boring word was coming from the first experience where the controls I was using made it slow and a bit tedious. By using better controls the second attempt was more pleasant but I still find it a bit tedious. But I stick to the feeling that just by looking at the available skills this class is undev...

Re: Is it possible to not show keys commands in action bar?
BTW what do you find impossible to do with only the mouse ? Good question :) I like right click upon a target and select the action, but it's a bit slow and I don't like much how the menu hide the target and I can't be sure it's red or not, so I use it but few time. Instead I prefer click on the sk...
