I've started a Nightmare run as a summoner, and your guide is extremely helpful, thanks! One question I've come up with though, is Magic of the Eternals, which you maxed out early. Not entirely sure what you're trying to say, but opening the room of death before or after getting the Athame has no bearing on the quest (unless you lose all your lives in there of course).

If you're not going to kill the boss during unstoppable, then you use the last turn to pop a movement/phase door/teleport/etc and get the hell out of there. Then you heal up and try again and/or dodge the boss.

The tree is actually really powerful if used properly, you have to be aware of the friendly fire but it does a ton of damage with some decent crowd control.breadsmith wrote:I'd max the Hydra and the Jelly over that bloody tree any day.

Fire drake is probably the best, huge AOE as well as extra baby drakes when used with grand arrival. Other then that, most of them have their niche, and I don't think any of them are really bad to max if you like using them.

Initial problem I see - Aura mastery being stuck at the end of a tree. Maybe I missed something, but you'll still want the bigger aura as caster for the extra souls and all the other effects you've tacked onto the aura, but they'll be forced to get the entire minions tree. Not to mention waiting unt...

You've accidentally activated passive mode - click the shield icon underneath your character portrait up the top to turn it back to normal.

The invisibility is on demand, rather then on kill (you get charges on kill which you can then trigger to go invisible), so it's less situational. The other two skills do seem pretty garbage though. I do agree the whole focus on 'on-kill' skill triggers on the new classes is at odds with the game in...

The counterstrike debuff is applied to an enemy when their attack is fully absorbed by the active 'block' ability. This happens for all classes who use a shield, not just balwarks.
