Re: Sawbutcher overpowered or campaign too easy?

I haven't played Sawbutcher (or gunslinger) yet, but I finished the campaign in my second real try with a boring bulwark build (you can see it in the char report forum). I finished the main game only once, so I would say the campaign is clearly easier. I think part of it might be because there are n...

Embers - Yeti Bulwark Winner

Well, I think everyone will report their win with a gunslinger or a sawbutcher, so, here is my win with a bulwark ! I wanted to play the DLC with a classical build before trying the new classes, or the new talents (I used only a bit of tinkering in this build). http://te4.org/characters/34747/tome/1...

[1.0.1] 49 is not equal to 50

That reminds me of this bash.org quote: http://bash.org/?2999

Not an important bug, but it made me smile.

Does that mean the "Warper" achievement isn't available anymore either?
Yep, it's not available anymore.

Re: Compiled Releases of SVN

Ok you might try this: http://www.sendspace.com/file/tvyu71 To install: unzip the file, then click on "install.bat" for it to download the SVN. This will take a few minutes. To update (daily/weekly/whatever, this will only download the files that have changed so it will be quick): click on...

Re: Compiled Releases of SVN

You really make it look much harder than it really is. It is really simple. And you only have to do it once, after this, you only have to clik on a button to update the SVN, and that's it. Anyway, the problem I see with compiled releases is that tome is a 200Mb program. Providing SVN binaries regula...

Re: Compiled Releases of SVN

As i said here: http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=37613, you don't need to compile anything: just download the SVN (using tortoiseSVN or something else) and then copy the exe and dll files from your 1.0.1 version.

Re: [1.0.1] Here's a GREAT idea - NERF oozemancers!!!!!!!

(EDIT: tl;dr: you don't need to compile any source code.) SVN is hard to compile, but that's actually kind of a misconception. TOME is separated into the interpreter (t-engine) and the game files. Only the interpreter has to be compiled, not the game files. For the intent of balancing issues, you ca...

Re: Can't interact with buildings in cities

Save files, settings, etc. are stored in another (hidden) directory, $HOME/.t-engine or something like that (note the initial . in the directory name) ~/.t-engine/4.0/tome/save/NAMEOFYOURCHAR/ Note that due to settings being saved in this hidden directory, you will be able to upgrade to future vers...

Re: Settings/Macros to prevent very avoidable deaths?

Not really related, but on the topic of "press the keys too many times". This happens to me constantly during escort service. I kill all monsters around the portal, and then I keep left-clicking on me until the escort (which is a bit slow) is finally getting on the portal. Ever so frequent...

Re: Change the alchemist escort

Well, alchemist is also an exception because: - it's the only one to provide you 2 talent categories (Staff Combat/Stone Alchemy) - one of them can be bought in a town And actually, alchemist is also a problem when you betray him: you will get mindstar mastery at 0.8 instead of 1.0 I actually have n...

[1.0.1] Escort appeared only the second time

This is probably not meant to happen. First time, I went to Dreadfell lvl1, the level was very short. Just one door to open, and the exit was there, that's it, nothing else on this level. So I dug a bit, and as expected, I found the rest of the level, killed all the enemies then left for the worldma...

Change the alchemist escort

Right now the alchemist escort can provide you with staff combat with 0.8 mastery. However, you can buy it for 100 gold at Angolwen. This means that people like my necromancer who were not careful enough might choose the reward for the alchemist escort, and then realize later on, that they could hav...
