Doing so would allow the player to double up on those potions and would require a major rewrite to get the code to recognise non alchemists using that talent. Not sure if this is on purpose, but taking Water Alchemy as an Adventurer does not grant access to the make-your-own-potions quest. This makes the 4th talent in it useless (and it's permanent! my poor skill point pool). Any chance you can tie it to the Water Alchemy skill tree and not the Alchemist ...

Patched: Minerals should be available to Adventurer, but they won't get the gem making talent. Also added an icon. Smallest patch ever. The gems made by Stone Alchemy work with Prism-Light just fine, I just fired it up. Awesome, now I can finally make a walking laser disco ball of death. Thanks much!

Turns out it was a bad addon after all, though no idea why it let me connect for several days before deciding it was broken. Sorry for the false alarm.
