Two things to try: First is trying the original 1.0.1 t-engine.exe with a libpng15-15.dll compiled by someone else. You can grab a copy from the pgreloaded project and try their DLL out. Still crashes. Second is a t-engine.exe with the guts of sdl_get_png_screenshot ripped out , as requested by AIA...

It's very strange that these blue screens are happening for a small set of users. TE4 and its required libraries do not need any special elevated privileges, and really shouldn't be able to take down a system. Version 1.0.1 still reliably causes a bluescreen when it tries to take a screenshot for saving.
After playing 1.0.0 fine with the exe from this thread, could I ask someone with a working T-Engine build environment compile a version of the 1.0.1 exe with the code for taking screenshots commented out?

I'd say leave the stats on items but make requirements only check base stats. That just removes the metagame of collecting stat items (mainly Con) for skills and prodigies but leaves the balance apart from that intact. I always thought that for the damage those runes do they have a too long cooldown. If the cooldown on damage runes was actually low enough (6 turns or so) with some short side effect they might be worth it on some classes.

One important thing: Currently Mindstar Mastery does not help you at all if you have gestures active as it only takes very specific properties from the mindstars like base damage.
