Re: [RC3] Limmir's quest bug

Re: [RC4] Lua error loop in Dark Crypt

I wonder if this is related to http://forums.te4.org/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=36000 - that's the same file and line number as the error I received when starting Limmir's defense quest. I was playing a Solipsist with the thought-forged warrior summon, though dismissing it did nothing to help the error.

Re: [RC3] Limmir's quest bug

Leaving the area and returning made things even worse... now I'm stuck in an infinite loop of error messages rather than 5/turn, and can't perform any actions at all as the game isn't processing any turns (e.g. Rod of Recall wouldn't count down to 0, so it would do no good).

Re: [RC3] Limmir's quest bug

Getting the same error in RC4 but on line 188 of NPC.lua. It started immediately after talking to Limmir (where he tells you that the ritual will take some time and that we're not alone). I get about 4-5 errors per turn, which is going to be a pain in the ass given that the timer for this event is o...

Re: Ghouls breathe?

So are Ghouls undead in an ontological sense, but still living? I suppose that would mean they're capable of reproduction so long as their death (or life) didn't hinder that. Also, breathing means music. Now I'm imagining a Ghoul society with a Ghoul king, a Ghoul jester, Ghouls vying for the throne...

Re: New AI always targetting escorts?

Not nessesarly, random isn't equal distrubution. It's entirely possible that they went for your escort a lot more than for you. Because it's random. Pseudorandom number generators generally approximate a normal distribution (when examined over infinite iterations because statistics). I think you're...

Infinite Ice Wall/error bug

Ran into an odd bug today. In a wilderness encounter with an adventurer party, a halfling apparently got stuck in an infinite loop casting 'Ice Wall' with an error window appearing after every cast - and since this was infinite casts over the course of 1 turn, the error windows popped up over each o...

Re: How "Beta" is this game?

http://te4.org/dl/thirdparty/t4walkthrough/index.html is a decent walkthrough for the first part of the game, but keep in mind it is from b34, and many things have changed in the past nine betas. I skimmed through it out of curiosity and noticed something: We are only level 1, and the first time we...

Re: Category Efficiency

I like the idea of including the decimal point for effective-level talents (it might also open up the possibility of enabling special effects at fractions of a level). Would changing the word 'level' for talents that rely on your effective rating help too? E.g.: Raw: "At level 4 it allows you t...
