Re: [1.0] Interaction of Global speed and combat speed

It is hard to predict when you get your next turn in the system, but otherwise the system is easy to understand. Example: You have a +2% global speed mod putting your global speed to +102%, and you have all other speed mods at 100%. You encounter an enemy with 100% all speed mods. Simply every time ...

Re: ToME4 review

charlie, it's good you bring a different point of view about tome compared to veteran gamers here. There are definitely a few areas of improvement ToME should address when attempting to become more mainstream. However, a big chunk of your review can be condensed into one point: the game has a really...

Re: [1.0] Amusingly catastrophically bad luck bug!

The constitution is a floating point because of Rotting Disease lowering it by 20.725270223426 (rounded to 21 in the desc).

Salmon is delicous though.

Can orange items also get bonuses when they are arcane disrupting? Or only yellows

[1.0] Duplicate monsters with Cease to Exist

There is some kind of a bug going on with Cease to Exist, where monsters are duplicated. I have ran into it twice with my character Bones of Time (Skeleton Paradox Mage), after using Cease to Exist only a handful of times. First time the enemy was I think rare, it was in Damp Cave that spawned in Da...

Re: "powerd by x" "infused by y"

Also if you get antimagic, you are told that you are able to unlock hidden powers in some antimagic items. What this means in practice is that some antimagic items become better when you equip them, than what they look like when they are in your inventory. It's still a bit unclear to me how many ite...

Re: [Rant] Unkillable unique with fearscape

If you run into something that just is unkillable in High Peak, you can make a run for the stairs. Had to do that once with my summoner. I was able to get Athamaton but not a simple bone giant on HP. :)

Slightly off-topic, but I can't find the Stone Warden class even though the add-on page shows the add-on as active. How do I pick the class?

Re: [R43/RC1?] Incorrect prodigy stat requirements

Ah yeah that must be it. It's pretty counter-intuitive though. I spent a long time figuring out why I couldn't get the prodigy. I had no idea you could have non-integer stats before looking at my character sheet after completing the game: http://te4.org/characters/22720/tome/8cc21711-d1e4-42f8-b8bb-...

Re: [R43/RC1?] Incorrect prodigy stat requirements

I leveled to 40. I had a summoner with antimagic and boosted my Magic with Gear + Heroism to exactly 50. Requirements were still in red. I added 1 level up stat point to get stat to 51, prodigies became available. I was in Sher'Tul fortress. Might have something to do with using heroism / gear to ge...

[R43/RC1?] Incorrect prodigy stat requirements

This is hard to test so I haven't been able to confirm is this is still in RC1, but there was no fix in the changelog so I expect it to still exist. In a nutshell: Prodigy requirements for stat of 50 actually require stat of 51. Details: The stat requirements for some prodigies are incorrect. I conf...

[RC1] When comparing shields, Block value colors are wrong

Minor thing, but this got me confused when I first started playing ToME a month ago. When you press ctrl to compare your equipped shield with a new one, the coloring of the Block value is wrong: if the new shield has a higher block value (which obviously is better), the change in block value is disp...

Re: [b43] AM Brawler (Roguelike) - falls at Last Battle

I strongly recommend adventuring mode if you don't want surprises to get to you. Roguelike is for those who like it super hardcore (not me). Adventuring mode is plenty difficult as it is and if you can clear adventuring mode with 0 deaths it's just as good as doing it in roguelike. I just finished m...

Re: [b43] Summona the Cornac Summoner (Winner & Atamathoned)

Good to know the range has already been reduced. Range of 5 is still quite a lot but definitely better. Yep Meditation halves the damage output of summons, but I found that you deal more than enough damage regardless. Only place where I could've considered taking off meditation was at High Peak wher...
