I think a more useful statistic is the weakness of each class and the strength of each class. To win you have to play to both. I have won with many classes now on normal difficulty. Yup, you can double bonus a wyrms and get all 100% stun resist that way just with the wyrm mindstar. Yup, armor is still weak. Really think mail needs to come with %tier in resist all and massive armors with double that. The armor part needs to work against anything the armor resists against as well.

The level of the dungeon is set on entering. Plus any interesting loot is on creatures, in vaults, or in chests. Start critter, check for blue, step into and out of both dungeons, then drown the rare :p

Golems are never seen on the wilderness board, this could be the cause of you thinking it is lost, your icon on the wilderness board (when you can see the towns and dungeons) represents your whole party, both you and your golem. It will probably pop back when you leave the level. Even lost golems follow you to new areas. If it is bug this is the best way to find it.
