Re: Trolling the residents of Eyal and the cosmos
Except if you're a ghoul/skeleton not wearing your deception that strides into town with a horde of undead... Then they assume you're just another minion, and, since they don't see a necromancer around, you must be a directionless horde of undead out to kill them all. Remember, as far as anyone kno...

Re: Trolling the residents of Eyal and the cosmos
Nobody has issues with you being an obvious necromancer. Stride into Derth with your bone giants, ghouls, skeletons, vampires - nobody gives a damn! The usual handwave is that, when the townspeople see a skeleton or ghoul, they assume it's just a mindless wandering undead that will kill them on sig...

Re: Brawler questions
2. Does Flexible Combat trigger on defensive grappling? Does Flexible Combat in turn trigger on-hit effects? Does melee on-hit effects such as 20% cripple in turn trigger more Flexible Combat procs? I think it does but the logs aren't clear on where my extra hits are coming from. If you're referrin...

Re: Balance Rationale For Gift Of The Pure/Highborn?
They have decent HP. They can use a lot of abilities without paying the cost, cost being the thing that balances a lot of abilities. They are magic friendly without being magic dependant. They have their own heal for classes that have trouble healing. They have a pretty lousy heal, honestly. It's n...

Re: How should I play stone warden?
Yeah, the damage output of a shield is roughly on par with that of a greatmaul, except you get one in each hand. Furthermore, the benefits of both shields stack: You get insanely good block values, plus wide elemental coverage* (if an element is covered by either shield, the entire block value appli...

Re: General Lore Questions/Speculations Thread
According to the lore mages can cure diseases. Disperse magic. Quite effective at treating blight-based diseases that either make you explode or run their course in less than two minutes, but I'm not sure if it works so well against pneumonia. That being said, my headcanon is that the PC is extreme...

There is no Zombie. Only Ghoul! The Revanchist wrote:Also, in lighter (sort of) news, I'm surprised there hasn't been a "zombie" outbreak, what with all the disease, blight, Blight, Corruption, and other dark forces rife throughout Eyal. Perhaps a certain Time lord isn't a zombie enthusiast?

Re: Temporal Rift: How not to get wrecked?
Mobility is always important. You need the ability to get in close if you're melee or fall back if you're ranged. With the build you had, you stood no chance against that rare.

Re: Proposal: Vampires as an Unlockable Race
Worth noting: in IRC, DarkGod mentioned that vampires are very much monsters (Nosferatu), not the "can masquerade as sexy humans" variety. Per "Dust to Dust": As said before, a vampire's greatest strength is its resemblance to a living man, both in mind and body. Thanks to this,...

Re: A few Basic Newbie tips
1. Boss encounters don't happen until level 3 of the newbie dungeons. Depending on building this will be hard. You will get to level 2 in the first two levels. Virtually every start has 2 newbie dungeons you can go through (I think the dwarf one you pay for you have to go through the first dungeon ...

I'm 98% certain that this is a randomly-generated artifact. The other 2% is because it's a four-year-old topic, so for all I know such a thing actually existed in the distant past...

Re: Eh, guys, how do you kill Argoniel in Charred Scar?
Congrats on glitching the game, it seems. The Sorcerers should flee once they see you, and are indeed flagged as invincible. You should post this in Bug Reports.
