Re: Is it considered a convention to move up in difficulty?
@Effigy: Yep I definitely don't consider Athamathon as part of the main campaign, I decided to challenge him for fun and to see if it would work. However, I was trying to run away from him and wasn't attacking him, so that 3560 was not due to reflection (especially since the reflective skin doesn't ...

Re: Is it considered a convention to move up in difficulty?
I was running over 70% crit mitigation thanks to indiscernible anatomy, all the blows that killed me where non-crit (unless I'm misreading damage logs, but I assume crits are the numbers in bold). A couple of images, the first one is my character's defensive sheet before hitting the 57% all resistan...

Re: Is it considered a convention to move up in difficulty?
Nightmare is indeed boring, but I'm not sure how people are supposed to beat insane/roguelike without some insane luck. I've been running a character with over 1700 hp, 57% all resistance and 70% in all the standard resistances, and yet I've still managed to get hit for over 1000 damage in a single ...

Re: Player's current map (level) is not loaded properly
So I was able to 'fix' the character by using LUA commands, one to teleport to a zone from which I could warp out using the rod of recall, then one to move myself back on the map (the rod of recall sent me in the ocean of the world map), and one to rebuild the calendar (I was getting LUA errors on e...

Player's current map (level) is not loaded properly
The game locked down while saving (white screen, endless saving bar), so I force quit it. When trying to load it back up, the save file seems correct (my stats, stuff, quests and such are all still there), however I'm now on floor -- of the world map, which means that the whole map is black and tryi...

Re: Why did I lose all my turns until death?
I see, thanks for the comments.
It would be great to allow the player to see what is going on during those turns even if he cannot act (like when he is under the effect of a sleep effect), but I assume that might make them too easy to deal with (with instant cleanses or such).

Why did I lose all my turns until death?
So I've recently lost one of my most viable insane/roguelike run due to the NPCs taking a ton of turns in a row without handing control back over to the player. This is not the first time that this happens, but this time was the most glaring as they took a long time to kill me. What could cause such...

Re: Are worms and snakes supposed to be operating complex gu
Just wait till you get shot down by a bush with a bow. I'm pretty sure some mobs should be restricted when it comes to the classes it may adopt.

Re: Giving players a chance to complete the "Suicide Crypt"
@Velorien : Exp is exp, still some possible artifact from the boss and a sense of completion (I'm a wierd person)
@Edge2054 : To be honest I don't know
@Einzbern : Thanks I'll have a look. I probably won't use it though, it feels like cheating

Giving players a chance to complete the "Suicide Crypt"
*Small spoilers, I'll try to be as vague as possible* Everyone here knows of the "suicide crypt" overmap event that starts appearing after level 25-ish. This dungeon is pretty much unwinnable in insane and madness, full of large rooms with ranged enemies that apply many debuffs and often t...

Sorry for the maybe obvious question, but does that mean re downloading the game will fix this problem ?
