Checked; issue is reproducible on 1.4.0, which points to it being a laptop issue. I'll test earlier versions as well, if that'd help?

Did some further testing. The game seems to function fine in fullscreen, crashed once but then was stable when trying borderless, but it seems that windowed format is where the issue is coming up. Renaming the user folder so ToME would regenerate it worked, thanks - troubleshot it and found the file causing the error, resolution.cfg in the settings folder

Not sure if...giving an undead racial tree to a living char is the best idea, but having blood of life be able to do SOMETHING for undead chars is a good idea. +0.2 to racial tree and +1 life mod seems like a reasonable boost to an undead, they do both like their racial trees I like this. Seconded....

One possible solution to this could be just to flag summons as not hitting themselves or allies. It would make a fair few of the effects more usable and less inconvenient, at least (acid fields hitting you/allies on hit when Grand Entrance Hydra is summoned, e.g.) but.

He didn't just die before I could get to him - he just didn't spawn. Track finds nothing, I got no achievement at any point on the floor indicating his death, no Eldritch Pearl drop. Curious - was definitely feeling like I was noticing a damage reduction at L1 on my clear. This was noticed in 1.2.2 or earlier? Still, good eye regardless.
