Cloak of Deception buff is lost upon death

As the title says - the cloak of deception buff, which should be permanent after you pay to have it done at the sher-tul fortress, is being removed on death. I know this didn't happen the last time I played, and I highly doubt it's from a new addon (I've only added one recently and it's unrelated). ...

Re: Necronomancer

'sup minionless buddy! I recently did this also, although with different prodigies and some different talent choices, like no Vampiric Gift. I found it a lot more powerful than expected and most of the game went very smooth I think, although it's been a while so I don't remember the details. Mostly ...

Re: Addon: Wights(OP obsolete, always get last release!)

Like the race so far, it seems like a decent variation on the undead theme, although I'm not sure I'm happy with their healing replacement (haven't gotten to get The Draining skilled yet so maybe that helps). Not happy 'thematically' or power wise? It might be too weak...the Dread damage is fairly ...

Just ran into a bug in the starting area though, the level was generated with the stairway ...

Re: Mouse Dream

Finally beat the mouse dream after a long streak of no-caldera characters, and I gotta say it's really not as bad as you guys are making it out to be. Stealth is NOT useless, especially if you put your 3 points into CUN instead of CON, because you never want to be hit in the first place. The stealth...

Re: [b37] Lost two lives to one casting of Turn Back the Clo

Had another run-in with this bug (double deaths), however not while fighting a paradox mage, this time it was two skeletal archers in a vault one-round-ganking me. One of them had a slime bow it seems, and I was playing a ghoul so I was obviously at a massive speed disadvantage - perhaps there's an ...

Re: [b37] "test" the challenged Mindslayer

An interesting experiment, but certain classes/character types are balanced around just not taking much damage at all (see: most casters) while others take disproportional amounts (Berserker). I'd be willing to bet an Archmage could be won with 10k health, berserker would probably need a million eas...

Re: [b37] Lost two lives to one casting of Turn Back the Clo

I experienced this same bug (I think), was fighting an adventurer party that had a paradox mage. Screenshot of the combat log for what its worth (not much since the combat log is non-comprehensive):

Image

Not sure why it shows 2 different NPC's killing me though.

Re: Need advice - L32 Archmage - Insane/Roguelike

Meta tree is absolutely amazing, 5/5 Quicken Spells will reduce cooldowns on all spells by 30%, INCLUDING runes (But not infusions I think). This is obviously good as it will allow you to use your defensive/escape spells more frequently. Being able to offensive dispel is also very valuable as some e...

First win - Skeleton Archmage (47?)

http://te4.org/characters/10627/tome/b20096f0-d13f-4fe2-9ee8-0911b8f3b864 Finally got my first win, Skeleton Archmage focusing mainly on Fire/Wildfire trees for damage. Not particularly notable I guess since its a pretty well-known powerful race/class but whatever! Did really well early-game, midgam...

Changing undead's "Cloak of Deception" mechanic

It was proposed in IRC that a change is wanted for the mechanic allowing undeads to enter the world of the living. Currently they use the cloak given/taken from the Necromancer that raised you and wear it in the cloak slot, which is fine and dandy.. until you want to use another cloak. Frankly, keep...

Inventory UI tweak(s)

One thing that frequently annoys me as I'm playing, specifically regarding having multiple weapon sets, is that I can't see what's in the other weapon set unless I swap to it (which takes a turn). Obviously this can be bad in combat, if you think you have something in the other set that turns out to...
