I'd argue that it does correspond properly to the clues (i.e. the hint falls behind to 2nd in order since "time slows down").

Why is that happening and how do I fix it?
I already tried deleting my user T-Engine folder to reset all of the configuration stuff but it didn't fix it.

I just used the item vault to pull Wanderer's Rest out for my Ghoul Paradox Mage. [1.0] Transmog chest management on level exit uses turns
If you exit to the world map with a monster next to you, the transmog chest dialog pops up. If you equip items from that dialog, it uses up a turn and the monster can stun or pin you (or even kill you). The result is that you will end up on the world map stunned/pinned.
