There's a reason Combat Veteran is available to 12 classes. It may not be interesting or sexy, but it does it's job as effectively and efficiently as possible.Razakai wrote:Maybe the solution is putting a stamina regen talent that's not tied to the random chance of mark though.

Re: Marksman - Archer Rework v1.3
Just beat Normal with Marksman, going to give my 2 cents. Went with bows. Overall, I found the class to be well designed. However, there were a few issues. 1. The gameplay of marking was fun, but I noticed that marks didn't work on some bosses (like the final one), making my damage much lower when I...

It's Been a Long, Strange Journey...
So I died with my first lvl50 Alchemist in lvl7 of High Peak. I turned a corner with full health and got hit with so much damage and debuffs from a bone golem unique I was already in Cauterize before I knew what was going on! This was the first character I managed to get out east as well. So I check...

Re: Tutorial or Tips Mode on by Default for Each Virgin Clas
I'm curious, for those who have started playing more recently, what are the things that you felt you needed tips on when starting out in the game? I didn't understand how to equip new runes/infusions once I had three... I couldn't figure out how to delete them... thank goodness for chat :P Also, I ...

Re: The Defining Features of ToME4
About perma death - I have gotten used to adventure mode recently because it is the standard mode, but I prefer rogue-like to be the standard. Why isn't roguelike the default difficulty? ToME calls itself a roguelike. I can't bring myself to play adventure mode, because it feels like cheating. I'd ...

Re: Alchemist quest changes
As a further aid to the whole quest system all town zones should have a set level, not a level range as they currently do. Derth level 5, Last Hope level 20, Angolwen 30, etc. If there's a problem with shops stocking items that are too nice then up the prices to push them out of the reach of early ...

Re: Stamina Sustains and later Actives
I'm new, so maybe I'm missing something, but why isn't there any stamina regeneration infusions? Seems like it would really help out melee classes, especially since they have so many stamina-draining buffs. And I think a skill should either cost stamina up front OR per turn, but not both. When I rol...

Re: Alchemist quest and adventurer party silliness
In the endgame, necromancers have a very easy time with orc patrols and adventurer parties. And I think that archmages, corruptors, and alchemists (and maybe archers) have an easy time against adventurers as well. Archers who focus on building up spell save/stun resistance can handle anything... ex...

Re: Mastery Points
Just a quick add to this thread: I would like to know why I have to spend class points to raise bow/sling mastery on an archer when all the melee masteries are general skills. It also makes me a sad panda when I think about splashing bow skills on a fighter with their maxed str/dex, and then remembe...

Re: Revamp Archery [Long, Work In Progress]
Crossbows in real life don't need much strength, since all but the smallest would have a mechanical gear attachment to draw the string for you. The largest crossbows had floor mounted ones. A stronger crossbow user would be able to move the gears faster, but it wouldn't increase damage. I also think...
