ToME: the Tales of Maj'Eyal

I got the steam collection version in the winter sale. I have been a fan for a long time and finally had a chance to buy it. Every time I hit login to goto the online area the game crashes. This is windows version on windows 10. What is wrong?

I had the same problem. Go to the directory and click the help area in the upper left corner. Then type display extentions or something similar and it will tell you. I even got a link to click to just do it. Hope this helps!

Okay now I get it. It was a zip extention, so I changed it to the teaa. Thanks for all the help! Now I can get back to this excellent game. Just one last question......Is there an eta on beta 38?

Okay I think I fixed it. I updated the radeon drivers and all seems well now. Thank God! my question is about the teaa file. I was told earlier that I needed to place the downloaded tome bugfix 5.0 zip file in the directory...still zipped. Now with the last post it sounds like I was supposed to unzi...

Okay I will assume this is an unfixable bug as there have been no responses. Hopefully Beta 38 is coming soon and will work right. Do we have an eta on beta 38???

Okay I did that and its still butt slow. The only thing thats changed is my graphics card. I run it on an old p4 1.5 with 512ram gf 3 ti 64ram xp sp3.....now the graphics card is a radion 7500 64ram. Could the card be the problem? It runs everything I run on this comp except Tome and my wife's Bejew...

So you are telling me that the zipfile that I downloaded should be placed in that directory..still zipped? Ok, dont make since as the zip contains folders and directorys. But I will put the zip there.

When I said patch I meant the bug fix addon. Sorry for the confusion. I downloaded the bugfix addon and unzipped and installed per instruction. I am running xp sp3. Any idea what could be wrong?

I have no addons. I simply downloaded the latest patch and per instruction unzipped into the specified directory. Did I do something wrong?

I have been playing and enjoying this game since like beta 34 with hardly any problems. Beta 37 is excellent too. But when I add the patch file and boot up it takes forever to load. I mean 1 percentage point at a time. It was lightening fast before the patch. So what gives? Thanks for any help!
