Reveal worldmap
The worldmap is static (mostly) unlike the dungeons that are generated procedurally. Personally, I feel the map should be fully revealed, since after the first time there is no sense of exploration anyway. To grant some adventure to new players, I think this reveal should be handled like an achievem...

I experienced a general slowdown yesterday, similar symptoms like yours. Turns out in the background my browser somehow crashed and that zombie process was slowing ToME down.
Might be worth checking out if there are other processes that behave slugish and terminate them.

However, what would be nice is an additional filter for displaying only normal / insane / explorer achievments. Scrolling through a list three times as long as it needs to be when tracking your current mode is a bit annoying.

Hm. Dwarf Berserker was the first character I tried and I managed to finish Reknor without getting Norgan killed. So it's definitely doable. Just take it slow, consider your options every step and you will make it.

Either that, or create a basic 'shoot' talent in a generic category:

grep outputs (in this case) just the lines that meet the condition. On Windows, you can use an editor like Notepad++ - it's search-in-files function works quite similar, if a bit uglier.
