Confusion

What anti-confuse options are available at lower levels? Besides mushroom of cure confusion, what can be used while confused to get a good distance away? Potions! Cure serious/critical wounds will remove both blindness and confusion. Potions of heroism will also make you temporarily immune to fear.

Wow, nice response. :) So far, I've made Pavis, the Big Rubble, and changed most of the important buildings. My next priority is to make the wilderness map, (probably just Genertela and islands) and to start making the player races. Then comes the fun part: making monsters. :D Any contributions, esp...

Any interest in a Glorantha module?

Over in Ideas , Massimiliano Marangio brought up the topic of a Glorantha module. As a long time player of tabletop RPGs, I would enjoy playing a module set in the world of Glorantha -- enjoy it enough to make it myself. Here is some brief information about Glorantha. Before I dive into this project...

Start with 98 quests and take the first 10,000 AU you earn in the Barrow-Downs to Gondor, then use the Thunderlord's Nest to warp to the bottom of Mordor. Kill a Great Hell Wyrm using flasks of oil and shoot 'n scoot tactics. ;) Seriously, Moria is usually where I start finding some real equipment. ...

That's a bit easier than it sounds, unless you're going to disallow summoning and symbiosis.

Spectral Hobbit Mimic was one of his, wasn't it?
He wins though, that's the thing.

Mayfair -- yeah, I didn't realize that until I posted the poll. I was going to cover it in 'died there', but forgot. Neil -- as Lord Dimwit is sort of acknowledged to be the top player on these forums, I figured he deserved his own category. ;) Besides, I wanted to see how skewed the results would b...

The bug only affects the mage staff, which must be *identified* before it can be turned into Eternity.

Good points, but there's still the thematic issue regarding Udun. And if Curse is as powerful as you say, maybe it should be toned down. Why on earth would Melkor curse Morgoth?

Dark Priests

There's been some grumbling about Dark Priests, with people wondering why they get Udun but are unable to use it since they can't learn the required schools. See this topic for one such debate. Anyway, I was considering possible changes that would make Dark Priests better represent Melkor's corrupti...

Thanks Dimwit, and you were right about the mage staff bug -- you have to *identify* your plain mage staff first.
