Re: Typos

The apprentice task still makes the count of staves and rings in the journal. It's confusing since now the apprentice wants only an artifact.

How to counter blind

How can be countered? Despite being a physical status no wild infusion (no matter if magical, mental or physical) can remove it. It's a bug or there's a reason behind it?

It doesn't seem fair this way.

Re: Carry over lore between characters

I agree because the lore doesn't give benefits (usually). Even if it would, usually the benefits are small tips that a player should remember, so there's no point in limiting the lore to the single character. Only if quest lore would exists it would have some meaning.

Re: Player-made Lore!

On the same line I was thinking about tombs. The idea is this: everytime you die you can write an epitaph that is stored in a database: it could be a pun, an advice, everything. There are tombs in a location (at least one cemetery in the world map, which may also be used for other quests) and random...

Re: Scattershot review (warning: WORDS WORDS WORDS)

Imho random interesting minibosses are a good idea to give more life to the sometimes tedious hack & slash from the start of a dungeon to the boss (yes there are already minibosses but to my knowledge they're not random so they're prevedible), perhaps also squad of random elite monsters that wor...

Re: Storming the City idea: visual indicator on world map

It has been changed I guess. I think I leaved the city many times and the quest didn't failed with b21. Once you know it you don't even enter the town, but the first time the player will either die or, if you put a malus going away, lose some potentially important shops in the town, since it's impro...

Re: Scattershot review (warning: WORDS WORDS WORDS)

I had some very interesting battles using the archmage (b21), with both bosses and sometimes with monsters, especially on certain levels. But in past, with older versions, I played with the dwarf fighter and it was straightforward and boring (I think b13). Yet even with the archmage isn't always int...

Re: How to go about a music pack?

I did something like that because I can't stand to hear the same music over and over again if it's too short. But with copyrighted music (more or less), so I can't share :-/. Perhaps a thing to set songs directly on the game would be useful, but I think it doesn't looks a priority. So few sound efff...

Re: Gore! We need more gore!

Indeed. Deskdungeons had a class that drinks blood pools left by killed monsters (vampire). A class that use gore effects could be possible, not necessarily vampires, also blood mages for example. The problem with corpses is the graphics probably. Or you do a general corpse (like a skull and some bo...

Re: Ladder ambushes (in dark crypts)

I did it. I invested some points in dig, stonewall and probability travel. I also bought 2 rings with 12-13% protection from blight, I had an amulet with 7% protection from blight. I also use always premonition, although it's a bit random which element protects from depending on what they cast at fi...

Ladder ambushes (in dark crypts)

That's the third time that I die being surrounded when I go down to the next level, two times in dark crypts (with the archmage) and one time in the halfling complex (with a slinger). It seems that's a big danger, it kills me more this than bosses. This last time I teleported away seeing too many cu...

Re: Better talent screen interface

It could look something like this: http://i51.tinypic.com/339hg5k.jpg Now I must do hell to put the rune of movement that I've got after the rune of manasurge leaving the same order for the other powers, even with a simple swap would be more quick. See how looks ugly the flamewrought, it doesn't sho...

Re: Ranger Class made. Now what to improve / add

I was thinking that in an ipothetic extra survival tree would be cool also something like flying, but effective only over mountains & trees. I would call it climb. Perhaps as a duration power. If you stay stuck in the middle of mountains you'll have to wait that it recharges. But it could be a t...

Re: Random Tome -- sourceforge download

The idea sounds interesting and hopefully a good start for a completely random tome, if that's possible. I mean random dungeons (random name & content), random bosses, random towns.
