trying to understand particles...
Can someone point me to the relevant code that would show what particles are, how to use, existing particle effects, etc. Specifically, I was looking to understand this kind of block: local grids = self:project(tg, self.x, self.y, DamageType.ARCANE, {dist=3, dam=self:spellCrit(t.getDamage(self, t))}...

Re: Missing Mark of the Spellblaze?
I found that when this happened to me, other things less benign had also occurred. The entrance to MageTown, Reknor, and the Last Hope Cemetary also all vanished. The wandering Alchemist had moved. It appeared to me as if the whole worldmap had somehow reset.

Re: Nerf slings (and bows, probably)
What the raw analysis doesn't (and cant at some level) account for is everything else that acts on the damage output. And that's really where the puddin is. Archers might be straight-forward and "old style", but the are not incredibly over powered. I'm all for exploring new ways to do stam...

Re: Levelling is too high in the West now?
How about a shop where you can go to get gimped? This would allow people who feel they are too powerful to get the crap kicked out of them again. Maybe multiple levels of skrinkage? Possible names: "I'm too big for my britches." (mild gimping) "My nuts hang past my knees." (regul...

Re: World map and dungeons resetting...
My last three attempts at games with b34 have all resulted in this, making them impossible to complete. Is it possibly something to do with cheat mode saving - I know that at least two of the three characters were on machines with cheat enabled. The thing I noticed was that this often happened when ...

Re: Dumb questions thread
Easiest if you have two quick cycling spells (like lighting bolt and flame) and of course, phase door. You will also need a manasurge rune. Regeneration infusion (or some hp regen) too, most likely. Rule 1) Defense. Run the hell away, all the time. Always have a plan. Avoid the middle of the map, as...

Re: Escort rewards - what's worth it?
Got staff tree with a current mage... Certainly not yet been worth the cat point and 8 generics I sunk into it for staff beam... Will reserve judgement until I get to the endgame staffs. The stone tree didn't seem like it had much new to offer my mage. Seconding both Providence and premonition, and ...

Re: Spec my Cornac Archmage
Generic points: Probability Travel, even at 1, is VERY worth it. Chances are you wont ever need to invest more in it. Keen senses is nice for the bonus to spell crit. And the whole Aegis tree...I think you will find those generics well invested. AoE: Fireflash is a strong spell, and gets very strong...

Re: Spec my Cornac Archmage
I would caution you not to over-invest in support skills too early in the game. A 5 in eye, phase door, and teleport might be nice, but I dont think at this point they are all required. Might want to spread those generic points into other skills... aegis tree is nice, you will definitely want strong...

question about weapon damage
How are weapon damage multipliers applied to on-hit damage from weapons? Lets say I have a vanilla offhand dagger and I do 50% damage with my offhand, per skills. It is easy to intuit that I hit for 50% of the total damage of the weapon. Change that to a dagger that does 10 fire damage on hit. Do I ...

Re: Returning to Tales of the Midd...er, Maj'Eyal
I've had to abandon two games in a row because the main map resets and I lose access to critical locations. Both have been b34. Is this issue addressed elsewhere?

separate chat/log window
Would be killer if you could segregate these out to a separate window with tabs for channels/log (as an option even).
